Him And I

Chapter Eight:

I was laying in bed listening to my brother and Jason yell at the game for the past half hour. I missed hearing them yell at each other and other people's mommas. The house didn't feel as lonley when they were here. I hated being alone in this house. It makes me feel as though I am truly alone even though I know I'm not.

"Yo momma's so fat, Dora can't even explore her!" I hear my brother yell then seconds later he's laughing. I chuckled a bit myself even though it was rude.

"Yo momma's so dumb, when she saw the 'Disneyland left' sign, she left." Jason said this time making me laugh even harder. I got off my bed laughing ready to yell something at my brother and his best friend when my phone rang. I was confused as to why it was ringing. No one ever called me. I picked up my phone from the bed and saw it was Elizabeth calling.

"Hello." I said with a small chuckle still thinking about what Jason had seconds ago. There was silence on the other side of the phone. The smile on my face turned into a frown. "Hello Lizzy?"

"Hope.. Can I come over?" Elizabeth speaking making me even more worried. Her voice sounded as though she just been crying and Elizabeth rarely ever cries.

"Of course.. Are you okay?" I said worry clear in my voice.

"I'll explain when I get there." She said with a emotionless chuckle and hanging up the phone on me. I moved the phone from my ear and starred at it in my hands. My once happy mood was gone now I was worried. I couldn't help it. She's my best friend, she's family. Placing my phone back on my bed I threw myself back onto my bed with a annoyed sigh.

A knock on the door made me jump off my bed and rush down stairs. I could hear Jordan and Jason calling me but I just ignored them and opened the door grabbing Elizabeth into my arms. She just broke down. it hurt seeing her like this like I said earlier she's family and I hate seeing my family hurt.

"Hope? Elizabeth? Is that you? Are you ok?" My brother said making his presence known. When he did Elizabeth stepped away from me, wiped her eyes of tears and looked up at my brother with a fake smile.

"Yeah, I am fine just some family drama." She said taking a step into the house and when she did Jordan hugged her. They were always so close I used to think they would start dating but he went away to college. He always did something Elizabeth. I think he made her feel unique and she made him feel.... Actually I don't know what she made him feel all I know is she made him happy. Whenever she was here he was always staring at her and smiling and when I asked him about it he would blush and say it was nothing. I never believed him.

"Can we talk upstairs?" Elizabeth asked. I nodded my head and we both walked up the stairs to my bedroom. When we both walked into my room and closed the door she broke down again and this time I didn't know what to do. I know how she feels about hugs and Jordan and I just hugged her enough to last her a life time.

"Lizzy.. What's wrong?" I asked taking a step closer to her. it took a couple of minutes before she answered me.

"My mom." She said plainly and I instantly know what was wrong. Her mom always got into arguments about stupid things like jealousy. She would never admit it but I know she's jealousy of Eliza. " She just wants me to act like Eliza and that is not who I am. I am not that cheerful person who walks through life with a smile. That is not the kind of person I am, but that's the kind of person she wants me to be. I just wish she would understand that Eliza and I are totally different people who like different things. Eliza tries to help but she just makes everything worse by intruding. She wants me so many things I just want her sit me down and ask me what I want." Sitting on the bed she wasn't crying anymore but I could see a tear fall down her face every now and then.

"What do you want?" I asked sitting on the bed next to her.

"I.. I don't know, nobody ever asked me that before." She said with a sigh.

"Well, when you figure it out can you tell me what it is that you want to do?" I questioned. She smiled at me and nodded her head at me.

"Thank you for listening to me rant." She said with a big smile on her face.

"Your my best friend, I care about what you have to say no matter how big or small." I said smiling back at her.

"Now, are you going to tell me what's going on with you and my brother?" I asked raising an eyebrow at her. She blushed.

"Nothing really, we just have been talking that's it." She said shrugging.

"For how long?" I questioned

"Since he went away for college." She said blushing a darker red.

"But that was, Five mouths ago! Why am I just hearing about this?" I said giving Elizabeth a small shove.

"I don't know! It never came up I guess!"

"You guess? Why didn't you bring it up?" I asked.

"I don't know." She said groaning.

"You don't know anything do you?" I said jokingly.

"Perhaps I don't. But enough about me, let's talk about you." She said wanting to change the subject.

"Alright, What do you want to know?" I asked laying back on my bed.

"What's going on in your life? What did you this weekend?" She asked and I blushed.. "Hope? Who is it? What's his name? Do I know him? Is he cute? Come on spill little lady!"

"Well, I might have spent the better part of my weekend with King.." I Said.

"What?" She questioned.

"Well, you know how he saved me from Gabe? He said I needed to repay him for that so he gave me an adress to go to and I went. I was so scared he was going to make me do somethig crazy but he didn't. He just wanted me to watch his little sister, and let me tell you that little girl is one of the pressious little girls i've ever met. I'd admit though she is a traitor but I loved her company and I even got to see a diffrent side of King that I have to admit didn't scare me." I said

"Soo.. Your saying..? What exacltly?" She asked a little confused.

"I dont know what I am saying." I said with a chuckle.
