Present:
Jeff hit the red icon on his phone ignoring Carter's call once again. He was tired of Carter's constant calls with no sensible leads. He was going to utilise the new information he had just obtained and get his woman back.
He had gotten his soldiers ready for war. If death comes then it may. They all got down from the trucks ready for an all-out war. Jeff's men advanced into the Monkey Devil's territory and the shootout began.

Past:
Jeff sat on the couch texting a friend Tami walked out of the kitchen with a bowl of popcorn. It was their movie night, exactly three weeks since Paris and they had never been closer.
“Who are you talking to with so much joy?” Tami asked as she sat beside him watching television.
“An old friend from college.” Jeff replied "He wanted to become a cop while I was a practicing assassin.” He laughed “We both studied law and now he is a cop”
“Good”
Jeff looked up at her. She narrowed her eyes at him “What?”
“I thought it was female.” Tami replied “So good it’s not a female.”
Jeff chuckled and rolled his eyes. She looked cute when she was jealous.
“What's his name?” Tami asked feigning interest.
“Carter” Jeff replied as his ringtone began to blare. He answered his call “Yes. What?!!”
Tami turned to him as she noted the expression on his face was one of worry and shock. She waited expectant as Jeff rounded up the call.
“That was Steve. Cod, Pedrov and Klaus were in an accident, apparently someone f****d with Pedrov's breaks.” Jeff sighed “Cod is in comma, Klaus is good but Pedrov is dead.”
Tami hugged Jeff as he took deep breaths “I have to fly to Miami tomorrow, to see them.”
“I'll come with you” Tami said
“No, it involves a hit also. I have a hit in Miami” Jeff said sternly “I can tell you about my work but I can't take you with me to it.”
She nodded.

Present:
Nadia put both her and the boy in a car and took the wheel. Tami sat up front with Nadia, her hands cuffed together. The little boy flinched at the shooting sound and stray bullet that fell beside the car.
Nadia kept her focus on getting away, she drove fast. Tami sighed as the idea came to her mind, it was better to die trying than not to try at all. Jeff had finally found her, she would not let his search be in vain. She took a deep breath as she grabbed the steering, Nadia was too busy trying to stop her from killing them all that she forgot her gun was on her lap.
Tami grabbed her hair and banged her head into the wheel continuously until she was unconscious. The car went crashing into a wall. Tami screamed as the air bag attempted to suffocate her. She pushed it back and grabbed Nadia's gun.
Taking the little boy Tami alighted the car but kept alert as she shot at every obstacle. It was hard to get clear shots while the hand cuffs bound her but she persevered until the gun shot sounds could be grew louder. She had reached the arena of the actual battle. Tami let out a sigh of relief as she spotted Steve in all black and a bullet proof vest hanging above his clothes.
“Steve” She shouted getting his attention.
“Tami” Steve turned to her at the sound of her voice, his hardened features softened but turned hard again quick “behind you.”
Tami turned and was met with a punch from Nadia, whose face was covered in blood from the wound in her forehead. Tami spat out the blood in her mouth and turned to Nadia. She pointed the gun at her with a smile.
“I told you, I would kill you b***h”
She pulled the trigger but the gun was empty. “s**t!!!” She exclaimed setting a pose to fight. For the first time she realised Nadia towered over her with over five inches or more and Nadia was a lot more muscular. Tami did not let it get to her, she had bested men back when she was a cop, men who were stronger and underrated her just because she was small. She was tired, weak and knocked up but she would give Nadia the fight of her life. “Sweetheart I need you to run fast and dodge very well. Don’t stop running until you get to that guy in black.”
The little boy obeyed running towards Steve.
Nadia charged first lunging at Tami with a kick, Tami grabbed the leg tipped Nadia over. The tall woman landed on her face. Tami was on her back quick as she banged Nadia’s face on the floor. Nadia struggled under and finally with a lion grip she pulled Tami of her back and tossed her away like she weigh nothing.
Tami groaned as she landed on her back but she staggered up once she saw Nadia making her way towards her. Tami using the butt of her gun hit Nadia across the face and pushed her to the floor. Nadia was up fast as she grabbed Tami and threw her against the wall. Tami screamed as her back made impact with the hard wall.
She knew this fight was one she could not win, Nadia was stronger but was also not as weak as she was. Tami began to pray earnestly that if she made it out alive, her baby would also be lucky enough to live. She groaned in pain as Nadia gave her kick after kick to her stomach. Nadia's booted left leg came in for another kick but Tami rolled away from it.
Nadia was all proud of her foreseen victory. She laughed and rested at Tami. “Not bad, but you are to poco to take me.” She was so confident in her yet to be won victory. “Up let me end this.”
Using all her strength Tami was up again for a fight but the sound of a shot finished her fight before it began. She watched Nadia drop to the ground with a thud and the red spill from the bullet wound in her head. The killer or saviour emptied some more bullets in Nadia. It was the most brutal kill Tami had ever seen in her life.
Tami turned to see Jeff's unmasked face, his face was stained with blood. She wanted to run and hug him, heck her body was already running if her brain would just will it but instead she fell to the ground. In her reverie she felt warm hands carry her from the cold hard concrete and hold her close.

Past:
Tami let out a breath as she rolled of Jeff's body. They had been fighting over the remote and well she was tired of struggling, Jeff had won for now.
“I am hungry” Tammy said standing up from the couch. "What do you want to eat?" Tammy asked stretching.
“Mac and cheese” Jeff replied “But I need to tell you something first.”
“You can tell me while I cook” Tami replied pulling him up to follow her to the kitchen.
Jeff groaned but followed her anyway. He pulled out a bottle of beer from the fridge and sat on a stool as Tami moved around the kitchen, washing the pots she was going to use and the macaroni. Jeff let her put the Macaroni on fire first, then she turned to him as she cleaned her hand on the wash cloth by the cooker.
“So...” She said “What did you want to tell me?”
“Pedrov is dead.” Jeff said. In he has he was thinking of ways to tell her what he really wanted to without an outburst but it was impossible.
“I know that happened over six months ago” Tami replied, immediately sensing that there was something she would not like to hear coming her way.
“Well want I want to tell you has to do with me reminding you of that fact” Jeff replied sipping his beer.
“Did Cod finally wake up?” Tami asked as Cod had been in a comma for over six months. Klaus had refused to pull the plug on him stating that he did not care how long it took.
“No” Jeff replied wishing internally that the news he wanted to give was a good one like Cod finally joining the land of the living full tim but it was nothing like that.
Tami sighed “Poor Klaus he is hurting a lot”
"Yeah" Jeff sighed he had to let it out but she kept trying to complete his words. Although she wouldn’t have to if he just spat it out “Stop interrupting me please.”
“Okay sorry.” Tami apologised in a mock surrender tone.
Jeff took a deep breath, what he was about to tell Tami, her reaction might end up in two ways, either she punches him across the face or yells her head out and walks out. Either way she will be pissed.
“So Pedrov is dead and his second in command takes over when he dies” Tami nodded trying to understand why he was telling her things she already knew. “I am his second in command.”
Tami laughed first because, she wanted it be a joke. Jeff joked with her often about stuff but not stuff like this. Information concerning his work was serious, Tami's expression hardened into a frown. “You've been the head of the fearless assassins in North America for six months and you tell me now”
“Babe I....”
“I don’t want to hear it Jeff” Tami replied walking towards the room.
Jeff followed her leaning on the door way “I tried telling you, besides why are you mad about this, the things that get you angry leave me in surprise. You are dating and international murderer this should not piss you off” he drank his beer nonchalantly as he spoke.
“You are a f*****g bastard” Tami replied “I am not angry that you did not tell me, I am angry because I am f*****g scared”
“I will protect you.” Jeff replied “You will have tons of body guards.”
“I am not worried about me.” She sank into the bed and buried her hands in her face. Jeff knew now that she was not having it. He came to sit beside her.
“Someone f****d with Pedrov's breaks barely a few days after he became leader, he was not my favourite assassin but he is dead to everyone even those who loved him.”
Jeff sighed as he watched her get emotional over the situation. She was right, this would make him a target. “I will be fine, Pedrov had enemies everywhere.”
“And you don’t?” Tami asked
“Well I do but...”
Tami rolled her eyes, pushed him away and stood up from the bed. “It’s not funny, why are you taking it so lightly.”
“Because you are too cute when you’re mad" Jeff replied standing up to meet her. He held her by her waist and kissed her forehead “C’mon, I am going to come home to you every night till I die.”
Tami smiled at the last part.
“I promise I won't die anytime soon.” Jeff said kissing her lips.
“Our conversations are abnormal.” Tami chuckled letting her smile widen as Jeff cupped her face.
“I know” He kissed her lips again. He pulled away as the smell of burning drifted into his senses “Do you smell that”
"That's just my arousal" Tami pulled him into a kiss again but they both pulled away as the realised the smell was from the burning macaroni. They ran to the kitchen and Jeff put off the stove.
“I will order up some Chinese food” Tami said laughing at the situation as she fanned away the smoke.
“I wanted Mac and Cheese.” Jeff grumbled like a baby. Tami laughed if she had not seen, the darkness in him before, she would never have believed that this man who played with her, made her laugh and made sweet love to her was a harbinger of death.
