Chapter 34: The First Nut

548 Words

The following week was even more demanding for the students in the architecture program. Their instructors had given them a major assignment: design a modern cultural center for the city. The project would determine a large part of their final evaluation. Daniel and his group spent long hours in the design studio working on sketches and models. One evening, most of the students had already left, but Daniel and Emily were still there. Large sheets of paper covered the table between them. Emily leaned over the model they were building. “We should move the main entrance here,” she suggested, pointing at the design. Daniel studied it carefully. “You might be right,” he said. “It would improve the flow of people entering the building.” Emily smiled. “See? We still make a good team.”
