The library was quieter than usual that afternoon. Most students were still attending their lectures, leaving the large room peaceful and calm.
Amara and Daniel sat at a table near the window with their books open in front of them. Sunlight filtered softly through the glass, creating warm patterns on the wooden table.
For a while, they both focused on their reading.
But every now and then, Amara noticed Daniel looking up from his book.
Finally, she closed her notebook and smiled.
“You’ve looked at the same page for almost five minutes,” she said.
Daniel blinked and then laughed quietly.
“Was it that obvious?”
Amara nodded.
“A little.”
Daniel leaned back slightly in his chair.
“Okay, I admit it,” he said. “I’m having trouble concentrating today.”
Amara tilted her head curiously.
“Why?”
Daniel hesitated for a moment before answering.
“Well… there’s something I’ve been thinking about asking you.”
Amara felt a small sense of curiosity.
“What is it?”
Daniel looked a little nervous for the first time since she had met him.
“There’s a small art and music festival happening in town this weekend,” he explained. “Some of the architecture students are also presenting their creative designs there.”
Amara listened carefully.
“And?”
Daniel took a small breath.
“I was wondering if you’d like to come with me.”
For a moment, Amara didn’t answer.
She had never gone to a festival with someone before, especially not with someone she liked spending so much time with.
Daniel quickly added, “You don’t have to if you’re busy. I just thought it might be fun.”
Amara smiled softly.
“No, I’d like to go.”
Daniel’s face brightened immediately.
“Really?”
“Yes,” she said with a small laugh.
“I’m glad,” he replied.
For a moment, they both smiled at each other.
The simple invitation felt like something more than just attending an event together.
It felt like the next step in their growing connection.
As they returned to their books, Amara noticed she could no longer focus on the words on the page.
Instead, she kept thinking about the weekend.
About the festival.
And about spending even more time with Daniel.
Something inside her told her that this weekend might become one of the most memorable moments of her life. 💕📖
