Chapter 10

Grace pov

Janet is only a month with me. She hasn’t told me the reason yet with my parents fired her but is good that I have her with me. Sally with joy accepts Janet to work at her restaurant. Janet is happy that she found a job and she didn’t end up sitting all day at the house.

“I’m sleeping with Steven tonight. You can keep my car for come after work home” I say to her as I’m eating the breakfast that she made for us.

“OK, sweetie. And you will go to Steven's house?”

“He will pick me up or I will take a taxi”

“You can keep the car. I will finish earlier from you. I can take the bus”

“No, it's ok Janet”

“Please take the car. If you finish late don’t wake up Steven. And of course, I don’t trust anyone else to drive you there”

“My God, you sound like Steven”

“We just love you and we want you safe. Please take the car. I will take the bus or I can ask Sally to drive me. Don’t worry”

“Ok. Since I was a kid I couldn’t argue with you” She gives me a knowing smile. I never could say no to her. She is my biggest weakness. I drive her to Sally’s and I start for the hospital. My phone ring

“Good morning baby” is Steven

“Good morning love. How are you?”

“Not good”

“Steven, are you ok?”

“I missed you last night,” he says

“Jesus Steven you scared me”

“I don’t like sleeping away from you”

“You sound like a baby you know that” I missed him too but I don’t show him like that

“I’m your baby. You didn’t miss me?”

“Of course I missed you. That’s why I will come to your place tonight”

“Finally. I haven’t slept with the same you for three nights. Don’t get me wrong I liked Janet but since she came you spend more time with her than me”

“Jealous much” he laughs

“I just miss you,” he says

“I miss you too. But I missed Janet too so I wanted to spend time with her.”

“I know I’m sorry. I’m acting like a child that takes for me my favorite toy” I laugh

“You will have it tonight. Don’t worry” After we chatted a little I arrived at the hospital. I parked and I started my day.

Thank God all is good today. No accidents, no more gunshots. After the last accident, Steven and his crew cooperated with superiors and added more security at schools and services.

Today goes easily only flews I have to deal with. Steven came again for lunch and one of our quickies that I love.

“I will wait for you tonight. I love you” Steven says and he gives me the keys

“I love you too. What are these?”

“My house keys. I want you to have them”

“Wow. That's a big step”

“I know. I just feel like it” he says and he kisses me

“All running so quickly and it seems soon but it feels... right”

“Right,” we say the word at the same time and we laugh

“Do you know what my grandpa told me once when I was a kid? It was the next day he lost my grandma” I say

“Tell me”

“I ask him how much he loved and how he knew that it was love and he will tell me how I will know that I have to find the one” I take a deep breath and say

“The day will come when you will meet this one and then everything in your life will make sense. You will not seek to find the words to describe how you feel about him, as he will not need to. He will be by your side, leaving you no time to doubt his feelings. And then you will understand why the previous ones could not love you with the intensity you wanted.” He cups my face and I continue

“You will not focus on the past, since your future will be what you always dream of. Reality will become better than your dreams. You will not sleep at night not out of sadness, but because you will not want to lose a minute of the happiness you live. Suddenly all the love songs will remind you of him. Everything in your life will have another meaning. In each of his letters, you will smile, without being overwhelmed by the fear that he is lying, without making second thoughts. You will be in love. You will fall in love in such a magical way, where nothing else will matter anymore.”

“He was so good with words”

“From that day I will dream every night to have a love story like them. My grandpa didn’t live much after he lost her. He wished me to find a love like his and he left” I say and tears fall down my cheeks. He wipes my tears

“You find it?” He asks and I giggle

“What do you think?” I ask

“I know I did,” he says and he smiles

“I found that love too,” I say and I pull him close to me

“I can be myself when you are with me

You make me feel like I never felt.” I say and we kiss again and again until it is time to go back inside.

My shift ended and I started to drive to Steven's house. I called Janet to tell her that I’m finished and I’m going to Steven. She is always interested in if I’m ok.

I open the front door of Steven's house

“Baby I’m home,” I say teasing to see his reaction. I see him walking from the kitchen

“You don’t know how much I liked what you said” I pass my hands around his waist and I hug him. His hands caress my back

“You’re ok?” He asks

“Yeah, I just need I hug”

“As many as you want baby,” he says and kisses my head

“I cook your favorite. You hungry?”

“Yes. But in a minute. Just hold me a little more” he continues to caress my back and I squeeze him in me. After a while, we go to the kitchen for dinner. We eat, and chat, he tells me about his day and I tell him about mine.

“You want to watch a movie?” He asks as we clean the dishes.

“Sure. But in the bedroom. I need to lay down”

“Ok love” we finished and we went upstairs. After my shower, I lay on the bed in Steven’s arms. At some point in the movie, I fell asleep.

The next thing I remember is waking up in the morning. Steven is lying behind me and he hugs me tight. I turn around slowly and I look at him. He is so handsome, he sleeps peacefully, and he looks calm and relaxed. I caress his face from his forehead to his cheek. A smile is created on his face and I stop

“Don’t stop, keep doing that” he says and I smile. I continue to caress his face and he opens his eyes.

“You look so beautiful in the morning,” he says and I blush

“And you look so relaxed and calm”

“Only with you, I can sleep so calmly. The nights that I’m not with you I can’t sleep at all.” He says with sincerity in his eyes

“I’m sorry”

“Don’t be love just tell me that you will sleep with me every night” I giggle but I look at him and he is serious

“I can’t present that. But I will sleep here as many times as I can”

“Can you promise something else?”

“What?” He caresses my cheek

“That one day you will sleep here every night. And every morning we’ll wake up together and all your clothes will be here”

“You ask that I think you asking?” I ask to look at him in the eyes

“You love me and I love you. I want one day to move in with me” I swallow hard. The man that makes me feel all these new things, all these amazing feelings he feels the same

“I will love that baby. I finally met you and I will live it to the end” he smiles kisses me rolling me and comes on top of me. We kiss passionately and I pass my hands around his waist. He sleeps always shirtless and to touch his naked chin is so turned on. He pushes down the shirt of my pajamas and my breast comes into his view. He takes one in his mouth and I moan his name. He lowers himself and soon his mouth is at my entrance.
