Legendary Mark

It was morning and I didn’t get a decent sleep. My alarm is wailing and it pisses me off so I toss it away. What a very haggard morning. I went to the bathroom, rinsed my face and brushed my teeth. I check my phone for any updates on social media and boom, a video of me calming down Vermillion. I check the comments and they are all talking about who I am and why I have these eyes. On top of that people are questioning the Von Dire’s authority
“I hope Sr. Procyon doesn’t find out about this mess” I said it out loud
“Tell me about what? Ramon?” a voice said coming from the balcony
I felt bothered so I went to take a look. I saw this silhouette of a guy wearing a black suit standing outside. I activate my eyes and confidently walk towards the balcony door. I opened it and someone immediately entered the room. It was dang fast. I turn around and saw Procyon standing in front of me with his face close to mine
“Fascinating!”
“So this is what an Oculus’ eyes looks like” He reacted as he thoroughly checks it
“What on earth are you doing here?”
“I thought we were suppose to meet at school” I said
“My, my, how intriguing” Procyon said as he roams around the room as if he is looking for something
I feel something is a bit off
“Please get out I still need to prepare for school” I said as I shove him out of my room
“Oh dear! That’s not how you treat your visitors” He said then I slam the door right in his place
With a pissed look on my face I was about to prepare breakfast but I saw him sitting a the couch with his legs crossed and constantly swaying his foot
“What is it you want?” I ask in a pissed manner as I head to the kitchen
“Nothing really, just dropping by and making sure you wake up on time”
“I don’t want you to run late for class, after that big commotion you made back at the bar” He said as he joins me in the kitchen he grabs a knife and help me cut the ingredients
“So you know”
“Looks like power and status may be come on handy after all” I said
“Beat it kid, I’ll trade my position just to get those powerful eyes like your”
“Eyes that shake anyone and does your every bidding” He said then pulls out a small torn book
He quickly opens it and shows me the symbol then he unfolds a piece of paper. It was a printed copy of Alexandra’s carving on the table. I look closely and they really do look the same except for minor adjustments
“What you see is the mark of the Ascendant”
“Legend has it that anyone who possesses this mark will be granted unmeasurable power that can defy those of a god. Finish whatever you are doing and come with me. I’ll show you where the legend first started”” He excitedly said
“So I’m ditching school?”
“Not happening!” I rudely said
“No worries, it's already announced. You are excepted from all activities until we return” Procyon said with a huge smile on his face
It’s really weird and disturbing, it made me feel chills just by looking at him
“And how long are we going to be gone?”
“I do have an election tomorrow” I said
His eyes rolled to the opposite side. He snaps his fingers as he sway his body aside saying
“I’d be damned”
“Huh?” I reacted because I didn’t heard him properly
“Don’t mind me” He said in a pale tone. He walks away, it seems he’s heading out
I extend my neck to get a glimpse of him exiting the room. I felt relieved the moment I heard the door close. I loosen up a bit and continue my work. Once I’m all done, I take a shower then go on my way. The moment I stepped out of the car I saw the Trinity standing in the open and they were all staring at me. I walked up the staircase and pretended that I didn’t see them.
“How rude!” Draco said and the nearby students all look at them.
“Is he pertaining to me?” A question I ask myself as I continue walking
Once again he said the same words but it was louder and more people stared at them. Looks like he’s making a scene here. I quickly turn around and approach them
“How rude!” Draco said right in front of my face
“Can you keep it down”
“You’re making me feel uncomfortable. Could you please stop”
“Can’t you see everyone is looking at us” I embarrassedly said
“How rude” Draco said once again it seems he’s pissing me off
“Can you please just tell me what’s the point of all of this?”
“And please make him stop he’s ticking me off” I said
Alexandra was about to talk but Draco raises his hand and said
“How rude”
I turn my back at them then walk away. I really don’t want to waste my time listening to a broken mixtape like him. Someone then reaches for my arm and grabs it
“You know I’m just messing with you kid”
“Why are you here anyways. Don’t you know that you have been granted permission to step out of class for the time being” Draco said
“About that Sr. Procyon have other plans”
“You see we will leave after the election” I said
“I see. If only he has the power to rearrange that, but sad to say the headmistress makes the call on that one” Draco said
“If you don’t mind me asking. Who is the headmistress anyway?” I asked
The Trinity’s eyes widen and Draco covers my mouth with his hand and said
“Didn’t you read the handbook?”
“It is clearly stated there that no one should talk about the headmaster on and off campus”
“Even us the faculty doesn’t know what she looks like”
“We just address her as Headmistress” Draco whispered
“My bad, I haven’t even open the student handbook yet”
“Is that all? Because I need to go to class” I said like I am in a hurry
“No need to go bro. How about you come with us instead” Gyson said as he wraps his arm around my head and pull me inside the building
I saw the twins staring at me as I passed them. Using my lips I called for help but the looks on their faces tells me that they don’t want to get inside this mess. I am completely hopeless and we are fast approaching the prefectural’s office. Then someone tug my arm from the opposite side
“AW!” I wailed
The Trinity all look irritated as they glance at me. Several seconds later Gyson’s crunches loosen up a bit. Draco senses foul play so he uses spirit magic. Fire spirits immediately filled the room and scanned the room for mana leaks or curses. They swarmed up then targeted someone seated on the bench wearing a red hoodie. Then out of nowhere a small lady wearing a full body armor came out of nowhere and absorbed all the rampaging spirits
“Step out of the way Ms. Runefela” Draco ordered
“I won’t let you hurt Mommy again!” She rudely shout
Gyson then lets me go and gives me a sign to get the hell out of here so I did. The twins immediately run towards me and ask
“What in the world is happening?”
“Why is Alice up against the prefect?” Darryl Lyn ask
“Alice who?” I reacted
“Let’s just go. I don’t want to get caught in this mess” Cherry Lyn frightenedly said
She grabs our wrists and pull us upstairs
“I am asking you one last time Ms. Runefela. Step ... out ... of ... the ... way” Draco said
“Sorry Master but Mommy is more important” She said as she shifts her stance to attack mode
With a single step she burst straight in. Draco’s nerves twitches and a gate rose behind him
“Come forth, Mayon” Draco said as the gate gates
Draconic claws emerge and scorching flames leeks out burning the floor. The nearby students feel the heat so they scram. Ten minutes left before the bell rings marking the start of the school day, Alice and Draco are in the heat of battle
“Looks like you’re not holding back a bit”
“Why Master? Don’t want your student to outshine you?” Alice confidently said
“Such insolence” Draco said then he summons more fire spirits fiercer than the first batch
“Be gone Ms. Runefel. It’s a pleasure instructing you”
“Now reduce into ash” Draco said then the fire spirits swarm around her and continuously spit fire balls at her. Immense heat covered the ground floor.
“Now for you spirits arts user” Draco said as he advances together with Mayon’s claws
