Dear Diary

Dear Diary, This is my first entry. Let me introduce myself, I am Ava Wright. I’m 25 years old. I figured I would try something that I never do— write about my daily life so I can look back at it over the last year. This is new for me, because I don’t tend to share things about my personal life, but I want to be able to look back over my life in the years to come. Today was the one of the BEST days of my life! Why, do you ask? Because I landed my dream job! I’m an RN and I’ve always wanted to work at St. Bailey’s Memorial Hospital and I KILLED that interview. I will start next week! My life can only go up from here! Helping people has always been my calling. Right out of high school I started going to college and my very first job was working as a CNA for our local nursing home. My mama always said I had a kind heart with helping hands. The residents there at the nursing home were the sweetest souls, they would always tell me stories about their families, and their younger years — some even tried to set me up with their grandsons! Tried that once, NEVER AGAIN. It was so awkward. His name was Rick the d**k and he was the biggest jerk I had ever met. He showed up an hour late, talked only about himself, and then tried to dine and dash on me. Don’t worry, I ended up paying for the food and tipped the waiter decently well due to his antics, then told him to get lost. Enough about my past. Only thing that matters is my future. I’ve already got my dream job, now I need to find my dream man!
