Socialites, welcome back to the scandalous world of Ravenswood Academy, where secrets lurk beneath the surface and drama simmers just below the boil. I'm your Insider, here to guide you through the twists and turns of this elite world.
Remi's Morning
Remi Laurent stepped into the kitchen, where her parents, Catherine and Reginald, were sipping coffee. The atmosphere was tense, as it often was when Remi's father was involved.
"Remi, darling, don't forget to focus on your studies this semester," Reginald said, his voice firm but controlled. "Your future depends on it."
Remi's eyes narrowed slightly, a hint of rebellion flashing across her face. "I know, Father. I'll try my best."
Catherine intervened, placing a soothing hand on Remi's arm. "We just want what's best for you, sweetie."
Remi forced a smile, but the Insider's eyes noticed the faintest glimmer of resentment. It seemed Remi's relationship with her father was more complicated than meets the eye.
Avery's Pre-Party Prep
Meanwhile, Avery Patel was getting ready for the Freshers' Night party. As she curled her hair and applied a bold lip color, she couldn't resist sneaking a peek at Julian Styles' i********: account.
Avery's eyes scanned Julian's feed, filled with moody, artistic photos. She couldn't help but feel drawn to his enigmatic presence. Who was this mysterious boy, and what secrets lay behind those piercing eyes?
Asher and Caleb's Pre-Party Banter
Asher Wallace and Caleb Thompson strolled toward the party venue, engaged in a lively conversation.
"I'm telling you, Caleb, this semester is going to be epic," Asher said, grinning. "I'm going to crush it on the soccer field."
Caleb chuckled. "You're such a charmer, Asher. But don't get too cocky."
Asher's smile never wavered. "Hey, confidence is key. Besides, I've got a foolproof plan to win the championship."
Caleb raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? What's the plan?"
Asher leaned in, a mischievous glint in his eye. "I'm going to bribe the referee with pizza."
Caleb burst out laughing. "You're insane, Asher."
Asher shrugged. "Hey, it's worth a shot."
Lila's Malice
As Remi and Avery entered the party, Lila Rose's eyes narrowed. "Ugh, look at those two thinking they own the place," Lila said to her friends.
One of Lila's friends, Tiffany, spoke up. "I know, right? They're so annoying."
Lila's eyes sparkled with malice. "I'll take care of them. Just watch."
Julian's Arrogance
Lila sauntered over to Julian Styles, who was standing alone, surveying the crowd.
"Hey, Julian," Lila said, her voice dripping with sweetness. "What do you think of the new freshmen?"
Julian's eyes flicked to Remi and Avery, his expression disdainful. "They're irrelevant. No one worth noticing."
Lila's eyes gleamed with excitement. "I know, right? They're so... basic."
Julian's gaze lingered on Lila for a moment before he turned back to the crowd, dismissing her.
Ethan's Admiration
Ethan Kim, a junior, watched Remi from across the room, his eyes shining with admiration. When Remi and Avery walked by, Ethan mustered the courage to approach them.
"Hey, Remi, you look stunning tonight," Ethan said, his voice sincere. "I'm Ethan, by the way."
Remi smiled graciously. "Thanks, Ethan. I'm Remi, and this is Avery."
Avery's eyes met Remi's, and they shared a warm smile. The Insider's eyes noticed the spark of connection between them.
As the night wore on, Remi and Avery found themselves lost in conversation, their connection growing stronger with every passing minute.
"I have to say, I'm loving the vibe here," Avery said, sipping her drink. "The people, the music... it's all so amazing."
Remi laughed. "I know, right? Ravenswood knows how to throw a party."
Avery's eyes sparkled with mischief. "So, Remi, what's on your bucket list for this semester?"
Remi thought for a moment before responding, "I'm not sure... I guess just to survive my dad's expectations."
Avery's grin turned sly. "I have something on my bucket list... Julian Styles."
Remi's eyebrows shot up. "No way! You're brave, I'll give you that"
Principal Victoria stormed into the party, her eyes scanning the room with disdain. "What is going on here?" she thundered.
The music screeched to a halt, and the students froze, unsure of what to do.
Principal Victoria's gaze landed on Remi, Avery, Asher, Julian, Lila, and Ethan, who were all standing near the entrance.
"You seven were the first ones I saw when I walked in," Principal Victoria accused, her voice stern. "I'm assuming you're all responsible for this... gathering."
The group exchanged confused glances, but Principal Smith wasn't having it.
"As a result, you seven will be serving detention together for the next week."
The group groaned in unison, but Principal Victoria just smiled sweetly. "I'm sure you'll all get along famously."
As they filed out of the office, the tension was palpable. No one wanted to be stuck in detention with strangers.
"Great, just what I needed," Julian muttered, his eyes rolling in annoyance.
Asher shot him a look. "Hey, watch it, Styles."
Lila snorted. "Oh please, Asher, you're not exactly the most innocent person here."
Remi stepped forward, her voice calm. "Can we just agree to get through this detention without killing each other?"
Avery nodded in agreement. "Yeah, let's just focus on getting it over with."
Ethan, who had been quiet until now, spoke up. "I'll try to make it more bearable. I'll bring my guitar and we can have a jam session."
Julian raised an eyebrow. "You play the guitar?"
Ethan nodded. "Yeah, I do."
Lila jumped to Julian's defense. "Hey, Julian's not that bad. He's actually really—"
Julian cut her off, his voice dripping with disdain. "Excuse me, but who are you? I don't recall ever meeting you, let alone giving you permission to defend me."
Lila's face reddened with annoyance and shame. She spun on her heel and stalked off, leaving the others staring after her.
"Wow, nice job, Styles," Asher said, shaking his head.
Julian shrugged. "I don't need some clingy girl defending me."
The Insider's eyes watched with interest, wondering what would happen when these seven very different personalities were forced to spend time together.
