A few months went by and I decided it would be nice to leave my prison for the city and visit Marie and her husband. Xavier was less than enthusiastic about me leaving his fortress with only Alex and Dane as company, but he also knew how confined I was feeling. He finally relented, not that I was going to give him a choice. I would sneak out if I had to and didn’t want to behave like a teenager under her parents roof.
