  Selene’s POV   I had barely slept. I dragged myself to the bathroom to see my own reflection. My eyes were red and swollen with black eye backs underneath it. I had acne breakouts all over my face and even my skin looked rough from the lack of sleep I was experiencing.   All night, I laid awake in the huge, cold bed that Kade had walked away from. After the fight we had two nights ago, I thought, stupidly, naively, that he would eventually come home, pull me into his arms, whisper something to reassure me, anything.
