TWO: I must be going insane!

It was mid-afternoon when I got back to our house. The pack meeting took most of the day but went well. There were some minor problems but nothing that can't be handled. I parked my SUV and unloaded myself. My parents are still out due to some things that needed their immediate attention so I went back alone. They might be home before dinner but it's good to never expect. I and Adeline are so used to their busy schedule that we only have each other most of the time. So I always make sure that my sister wouldn't feel neglected. I pulled my phone out and walked slowly to the front door. I was halfway to the porch when a movement from the garden on the right side of our house caught my eye. I lifted my gaze and looked at it. The garden is composed of both vegetables and flowers and is surrounded by short fruit-bearing trees. Our family is used to organic food that is why my mom built the garden. A lot of fresh fruits and vegetables can be easily found in it. There are also different kinds of flowers there that my mom uses as decoration in the house. Again, the flowers moved as if swept by something but there is no wind at this time so I have to see what it is. I cannot clearly see from where I stand because that side has the most trees. So, I silently walked and took a peek. Rain Bowen's soft facial features welcomed my eyes. He was staring at some of the blue roses, and he looked mesmerized by it. Like some girl who was just given a bouquet by her boyfriend. I stared at him and can't help but felt confused again. He really looks like a girl to me. His facial expressions and even how he moved reminds me of a shy girl who came to school for the first time. He ran his hands on the flowers. A smile formed on his lips. My breath hitched. 'Damn!' He looked even more feminine. Rain's hand stopped on the biggest rose. He looked at it intently and sighed. My forehead creased. He is quite far from me but I heard him sigh. My senses have been heightening lately. It might be because I am nearing my eighteenth birthday which means that my wolf and I are starting to strengthen the bond between us. Soon, we will become one. Rain Bowen turned and started to walk in the direction of the vegetables. I was about to follow him but stopped. 'What am I gonna tell him if he asked why I am here?' I shook my head and started for the house. This guy is making me feel unfamiliar things that are rather confusing. I was still thinking of Rain Bowen as I made my way to my bedroom. There's something about him that captures my interest.' That something, I need to find out.' I thought as I take off my clothes to have a nice relaxing bath after a long day. I went out of my room after my bath. My stomach has been rumbling so I need to go and look for food. I went straight to the kitchen and opened the fridge. "Wow!" I exclaimed when I saw different kinds of desserts inside. I was about to pick a cupcake when I heard some noise by the kitchen door. It seemed like something heavy dropped on the floor. I closed the fridge and quickly run to check. My jaw dropped seeing Rain Bowen sprawled face down on the ground. A huge basket was upturned and different kinds of fruits and vegetables are scattered around. "Hey, you okay?!" I asked and hurriedly walked to him and held his waist to help him up. Without any special effort, I lifted him and set him on his feet with his back facing me. "Thank you!" He whispered with his head bowed down then started to pick up the fruits and vegetables. I exhaled sharply before pulling his arm to make him face me. Rain Bowen's shocked eyes landed on mine. I scanned his face and frowned when I saw a scratch. I checked his entire body and saw that aside from the dirt on his clothes, there are no other visible injuries. I looked back in his eyes. "Are you fine?" He just nodded then stared down again. I lifted his chain using my right index finger which got me another surprised expression from him. "You have a scratch. Let's treat it first." I said. Softly caressing his cheek with my left hand. His cheeks blushed, and I find it cute. I stifled a smile. "It's just a scratch. It will heal quickly and easily." He said in a barely audible voice. "But it will heal more quickly if we clean it and put medicine on it. So, let's go." I grabbed his hand and pulled him to my room. Once we're inside, I let go of his hand and went to my walk-in closet. I looked for clothes that do not fit me anymore and found a black shirt and grey cotton pants. "These should fit him." I thought out loud then went out. "Hey! What are you still doing there?" I frowned when I saw him still standing by the bedroom door but he just gazed at me confusedly. I walked to him and put the clothes in his hand. "Go and clean yourself up. I will go get the medicine." I was about to open the door but Rain Bowen hasn't moved an inch so I went back and pushed him to the bathroom door. "Clean yourself up or I am going to do it." I threatened him. He looked back at me with a scared expression. I can't help but laugh. He frowned at me before finally going in. "Damn! How can he be so cute?" I whispered while smiling as I went downstairs to get the medicine. He is still in the bathroom when I got back. I put down the medicine kit on the side table and went to get the chair by the coffee table and placed it beside the bed and sat down. After a couple more minutes, Rain came out. He is now wearing my shirt and pants which was kind of loose on him. But it was so much better than the one he was wearing. I can see now that he has a slim but athletic built but still looks delicate to my eyes. I looked him up and suddenly felt warm. Mild electricity ran through my body as I slowly take in his appearance. He looked hot wearing my clothes. I swallowed and shook my head. 'What the hell is happening to me? I am not having an attraction to a guy, am I?' I asked myself as I stupidly stare at Rain. "Is everything alright?" He asked formally which pulled me out of my thoughts. I smiled and shook my head then gestured for him to come and sit on the bed. His brows furrowed. He looked uncertain. "Rain," I called him in a very sweet and delicate voice that surprises the hell out of me. His lips parted. Shocked. But another emotion seems to dance in his eyes. However, I am not sure what it is at the moment. I lifted my hand and waved it up and down. Urging him to come. He gulped before slowly walking to me. When he was near enough, I grabbed his left hand and guided him to sit on the bed. I picked up the medicine from the kit and faced him while sitting on the chair I got earlier. I put some ointment on my left finger and lifted his chin using my right hand. Turning his face to the left so that I can see the scar on his right cheek properly. I started to apply the ointment as gentle as I could. Truly afraid to make him feel even the slightest pain. After covering the scratch completely, I blew it lightly to help ease the sting. "There!" I said then pulled back. Rain looked me straight in the eye and smiled. "Thank you, Aidan!" I felt like I was struck by lightning. His smile and how he said my name sent tingles to my spine. 'f**k! I must be really going insane.'
