“Narito na po tayo, maam. Sumilong po muna kayo sa kubo, maam.. Kukunin ko lang po si Dark.” Tumango ako at saka tinungo ang kubo na nasa malapit lang. I sat on the bamboo bench saka sinipat ang kabuoan ng farm.

“E, sino po si Dark?” Tanong ko.
“Siya po yung kabayo na gagamitin niyo po sana sa riding—kaso ginagamot pa po ni sir Yliam dahil may sakit—“ Bigla akong napatayo. I heard a bell on my head!
“Where’s Yliam? Pwede po bang pasama papunta kay Yliam—err, kay Dark? Kawawa naman ang kabayo..” Tumango ang matanda saka ako sumunod rito. Napunta kami sa isang malaking kwarda—and the smell wasn’t that good. Oh, God! Nandito siya?
It’s full of horses and sh*ts! Gusto ko tuloy na masuka.. And there he was—nakahubad ito at naka-trousers lang saka naka-tsinelas. But damn.. Nakatalikod palang siya sa’kin—he’s edible na paano pa kaya at kung humarap siya!?

“Dark-the-horse is expecting me today. Kaso may sakit nga raw ang kabayo—so I was thinking kung sino ang pwede kong i-ride ngayon?” E-ride talaga, Valerie!?

Hindi nga ako nagkamali dahil I caught his attention—all annoyance registered on his face as he was fronting me now.

How come na walang girlfriend ‘tong taong ito? Hindi naman siya baklang tingnan! He’d been doing messy stuffs like this that only real man could stand—I wouldn’t buy that gossip, still won’t..
“Lucas!” Malakas na tawag nito saka naman kaagad na dumating ang matanda. Matalim itong nakatingin sa’kin. “Kunin mo si Black.” He ordered. Saka ito umalis sa kinatatayuan at dumaan sa harapan ko. Napapikit ako! Ba’t hindi siya mabaho? Ba’t mabangong cologne niya ang naamoy ko?
Tss! My nose was expecting something to be annoyed with—pero parang mas lalong nakaka-amaze i-explore ang isang Yliam Ademar..
Sumunod ako sa labas at inihanda na ni mang Lucas si Black. Isang maitim na kabayo—no wonder he’s name was black. Hindi ko rin nahagilap kung saan nagtungo si Yliam—urg! He knew how to get away swiftly!
Inalalayan ako ni Mang Lucas para makasakay nang maayos. I just don’t like the stinky smell of horses pero hindi ko naamoy iyon ngayon. They must really have the best hygiene for horses!
Marunong akong mangabayo—it’s easy! Nakasunod sa’kin si Mang Lucas sakay rin ng isang kabayo at pinilit ko nalang na i-career ang alibi ko ngayon—well at least, I saw him at may masi-share ako kay Olivia on Monday. Ayokong mapahiya sa bestfriend ko!
After an hour of horse riding—I had to go back to the mansion where my mom and tita Ysla were still busy chatting—ah, women! Pumasok ako sa loob at hinanap ang kusina nila to drink some cold water—hindi ako nasanay na pinagsisilbihan sa bahay namin, I was independent.
Refrigretor, there you are! Uhaw na uhaw ako and thank God—I found riding black-the-horse a good one today. I opened the huge refrigerator and looked for a bottle of water. I got one!
“I hate that she’s here!” Napamulagat ako sa boses na yun. Automically, I bended my knees and hid at the side of the refrigerator—sh*t ang init!
It’s Yliam’s voice.. At hindi nga ako nagkamali—he entered at the kitchen. Basa ang buhok nito at naka-suot ng isang plain white shirt at shorts. He was holding his phone over his ear.
I hate that she’s here! Was he referring to me? Napahigpit ang hawak ko sa water bottle.
“Babe, what about next weekend?” Babe!? As in—babe!? Lumaki ang butas ng ilong ko—may girlfriend siya? Sino!? Ba’t hindi ko alam!?
Napahalukipkip ako nang may kinuha ito sa loob ng refrigerator. F*k! I felt my chest tightened by the fact that he’s been keeping his relationship as private as hell! So, hindi pala totoong NGSB siya!?

Damn it! Natsa-challenge lang naman ako sa kaniya dahil akala ko all these years—wala siyang girlfriend at virgin siya but why the hell I was feeling these annoying tweaks inside my chest!?
Tumayo ako mula sa kinatatayuan ko at saktong pagsara naman niya ng refrigerator. For the second time around—our eyes met! I was greeting my teeth out of nothing—at hindi ko maitatago ang nararamdaman ko ngayon.
Pinatay nito ang phone at bakas ang gulat sa mukha nito. “You heard it all? F**k!” He was mad. Too mad that I don’t wanna know why because I was feeling the same!
“Yeah. I was drinking water when I saw you in—I remembered you dislike my presence so I hid myself. Hindi ko sinasadyang marining ang boses mo.” I started explaining but I was obviously mad in my tone. Humigpit nga ang paghawak ko sa water bottle at lumikha ito ng ingay.
“Leave now, Dela Paz.” Mahina iyon but it stained with all his warnings. Na, hell I care! Ba’t hindi ko alam na may girlfriend siya!? Did he really have to hide it? Umasa ako na wala siyang girlfriend all these years!
I let myself drooled over him for many years!
“Why’d you let everyone believe that you’re a f***ing gay when you aren’t, huh?” Lumabas nalang bigla ang mga tanong ko sa isipan na hindi ko mapigilang hindi ibulalas!
“It isn’t your business and I want you to leave! Now!” He roared at me for the first time and he clearly didn’t know how challenging this was for me. Ito na ba ang sinasabi nilang kagimbal-gimbal na ugali ng isang Yliam? Na.. It’s no effect on me!
I chose to step forward to him. He was clearly taken aback right where he was standing. I stopped when I was only a foot away from him—where I smelled all his manly scent. Napalunok ako. Standing this so close was all a dream to me!
“You’re girlfriend better tie a knot—so tight around you. Dahil kung hindi—iiyak siya dahil aagawin kita.. Tell her to guard his babe, 24/7.. Adios!” I carried all my confidence habang sinabi ko ang mga linyang yun sa kaniya. Dumiretso ako sa loob ng kotse at naunang magpahatid sa bahay namin dahil sobrang bigat ng loob ko ngayon—sh*t!
