"Important To Me!"

When they first met, they had no idea they were gonna be this important to each other!

~next day, late in the morning, forest~

Destiny’s pov

“Run Destiny, faster! Win him!” Diana yells in agony while jumping like a bunny in my mind and I laugh.

“Don’t you know I have my plans?” I ask her wickedly and she stops, freezes and smirks in understanding.

“Of course you do… Do whatever you want but don’t lose!” she murmurs and I nod speeding up a bit more.

I am excited with the turn things have taken to be honest… The asshole is a big surprise for me and he kept his word and now here we are, running in the forest with Devon and heading to his favorite place somewhere north.

I have to admit that the little asshole (Devon is the big one because I have forgiven nothing to him till now, at least completely) is doing better than I had thought with no help from Devon and me! I had never imagined this transformation but I can’t deny that I am happy about it! He seems to have understood what I told said and this is a small proof he really cares and has regretted everything.

He is not the problem anymore and my girl is pain on my ass…

Diana proved to be more difficult than me and I kind of understand her but again she is more scared and hesitant than I was expecting her to be.

She has really fallen in love, now I am sure and she doesn’t want to seem weak or desperate, she is trying to stay away from him because the last thing she wants is to get hurt again and she is such a stubborn yet proud woman that doesn’t listen so easily…

If it weren’t Gideon and Elena then she wouldn’t have gotten closer to Daniel last night and she would have been suffering more but I am glad she found the courage to approach him without my help.

And the result was more than pleasing, I will tell you everything but don’t tell her because I promised I won’t interfere!

So, they did sleep on the same bed, Diana was really nervous at the beginning, she was worried Daniel would touch her too much (like he hasn’t you know, stupid girl), it took her more than two hours to fall asleep but she saw no nightmares and her sleep was deep and peaceful for the first time after lost of years (well, no, it was the first time she slept so well in her entire life). All these because of Daniel’s scent and his perfect behavior!

I mean it, really, he did nothing inappropriate because I was awake all night long, I had my ears perked and the man didn’t touch her because he didn’t want to put her in difficult situation! He didn’t sleep at all, he was just lying on his side while observing her, Devon communicated with me, he was emotional trying to support Daniel that was melting and when my lady moved to him instinctually in her sleep he pulled a bit away.

Maybe he didn’t want to overwhelm her in her sleep and wake her up, maybe he was scared he wouldn’t manage to stay away from her longer, maybe he is in pain because he still can’t touch her the way he wants, maybe he doesn’t feel so free, maybe he is worried she won’t like and she is going to react badly or maybe all these together…

I could feel him observing her, the small light helped him and she understood nothing. I would like her to wake up and see him to say the truth, she has to know he likes even the simplest things with her, she has to believe completely that she is not a common woman for him.

Um, alright, she believes it somehow but she has to stop doubting so much, she needs to stop thinking and analyzing everything and I don’t know how this is going to happen or when…

I hope it happens when Daniel confuses his true feelings for her and I am sure you know how he feels and okay, I feel it too but he probably has his own plans and I am patient but Diana is not!

So, as for what happened next let me say that this morning Diana woke up with Daniel’s right hand in her hands… She touched it too late at night, Daniel didn’t manage to pull it back in time and she unconsciously took his palm in hers and then pulled them close to her face, so close that her lips were an inch away from Daniel’s hand.

I guess she felt that it was him because of the sparks but she was sleeping so heavily that her instinct took control and did all these. His hand was so close that his scent got stronger, it was calming her down ever more and Daniel had a very hard time feeling her touch and breath on his already ‘sensitive’ skin!

And I am going to say it again, he was a gentleman and he did nothing! He was trembling, his skin was shuddering but he didn’t move and when she began waking up early in the morning he pretended he was sleeping and allowed her to blush like a small girl and stop herself from screaming from joy.

Yeap!

She was ecstatic and she loved waking up in this way with Daniel being the first thing she saw! And the man looked like a big baby, he was really convincing, she didn’t notice he was awake and I am telling her nothing!

At these point I am sure you are going to ask me how things are going with me and my… Mate, Devon!

Mm… Well… I don’t know, he is quite serious and clever I admit but we are not talking that much, I am also giving him a hard time because I am not so expressive but I do it for Diana. Devon was never our real problem anyway, he was the nice one! I know that it’s like I am punishing him with my distant behavior and he hurts but he knows my terms so he is patient.

“He is slowing down Destiny, don’t lose time!” Diana shouts hysteric and I giggle with my eyes locked on Devon that is running about five meters in front of me.

We are challenging each other generally, I had weeks to go for a run, I was running like crazy at the beginning and he decided to play hard and promised me more runs if I win him now. Daniel and Diana agreed and we are almost at our final destination, he told me about it and now he thinks he is going to win because I decided to play as well…

I am just letting him believe he is going to win and I am not so fast because I got tired…

“I win!” he says through our link smirking and I roll my eyes speeding up more.

No if I don’t want this to happen…

I see the big tree in the middle of the small glade about 50 meters away from us and groan getting ready, I run for about 10 meters faster than before and I jump on him catching him off guard.

We land on the ground with me on top of him, he shakes his head confused yet surprised, I try to forget the sparks for now so I stand up like a flash and start running to the tree. He growls annoyed still from the ground and stands on his feet as I see when I turn around. He doesn’t run, he stays frozen staring at me reaching the tree and when I do I stop, turn around and sit down howling victoriously.

“YES, YES, YES!” Diana screams and I shake my tail as Devon starts walking to us still in control.

His expression is not an angry one, he is annoyed but not very much, I think he enjoyed my little ‘surprise’… I am a small monster when I want to, I can’t be an angel, especially when they are challenging me, I deny losing!

“Nice show my Queen!” he says ironically as he is approaching me and I stand up and take some steps to him cheerfully.

“I know…”

“But it wasn’t fair!” he replies in the same tone.

“You said the one that is going to reach at the tree first wins, you gave me no details so stop complaining for your loss!” I say teasingly and he sighs stopping one meter away from me.

“Whatever… I can’t deny I lost! Well done, more runs from now on!” he states obviously happy about it and I nod (I was sure he would like it, he needs more time with me, I am irresistible, aren’t I?)

“And now I think it’s time to give them control… They need to be in human form and we will be in lead when it’s time to turn back home!” he continues and I groan in agreement quickly.

We walk behind two different trees close to each other and I feel Diana stiffening in my mind nervously. It’s time for her and me to know everything and I am sure it’s going to be difficult for her because as we know and feel we are responsible for everything. Also, I have a quite bad feeling and I am sure more things are going to come to the light and I don’t know if she is going to be able to react calmly or not…

Anyway, we’ll see, the good thing is that Daniel is ready and he wants us to know!

“Are you ready?” I ask her preparing myself to shift and he nods firmly.

Okay, here we go…

~some minutes later~

Diana’s pov

“Come on, it’s up there!” he says while walking first with my hand in his.

I lift my head up and look the place he just pointed and I stop while blinking my eyes.

He can’t possibly mean that we are going to climb up there! It’s up on a mountain slopes with so many trees, thumbs and rocks! And if I am right there is a small cave up there!

“What? You are pale!” he asks me worried looking at my shocked expression and I turn to him speechless.

Is this man for real? I am crazy generally, I am not afraid but this is…

Madness!

“Are you trying to kill us? I am sure there are so many other and easier ways!” I say nervously and he laughs.

“Daniel stop laughing, I don’t understand you, really!” I continue and he wraps one arm around me, kisses my forehead and we start walking closer the slopes.

“Do you really believe we are going to climb till up there?” he asks leaving me time to speak again and I narrow my eyes confused trying to ignore the sparks that keep on dancing all over my body.

And he is shirtless again, he doesn’t know what a casual blouse means or he likes staying in jeans!

“Would you like to enlighten me please?” I ask after a while realizing the he is not planning to tell me and he smirks pointing a small hole next some rocks some meters from us.

Huh?

“It’s a very big cave with lots of floors that leads up there…” he says next and my jaw drops when we stop in front of the quite small hole.

Are you kidding me? Like really?

“Do you like it?” he asks me excited and I nod with widely open mouth.

“When did you find it and how?” I ask breathless as he takes my hand again and gets in first looking around him.

“Mmm… It’s been about seven years! I had turned 18, I had Devon and I loved long runs. I always liked the wild nature, the more dangerous one and when I saw the hole I decided to get in, take a better look and I found out it wasn’t a small, simple cave… It’s like a palace!” he explains but I don’t really pay attention to him because I am looking around me amused.

This is magnificent!

There are stalagmites all around us in lots of sizes and shapes, the tones of their color are many due to the small light that gets in the cave and the small path we are taking has lots of up and downs. There are also some small lakes at the back of the cave and I lose my breath when I see the ceiling.

“This is amazing!” I murmur stoned and he turns to me smiling.

“I am glad you like it, come! We have to walk up that path!” he says and I follow him blindly without talking or losing time while I am observing everything as much as I can.

It takes us about five minutes to reach probably at the top of the cave because I see the hole I had seen before from outside and the light falls bright and strong on us as we get closer. I start distinguishing the mountains opposite of us, the green, tall trees, the clear blue sky and I listen to the birds with a cool breeze falling on my skin.

Wow, we are here I guess!

Daniel stops right at the edges of the cave and gives me space to walk first. I pass by him in silence and I open my mouth and eyes widely from the view, it’s by far one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen and the good thing is that there is plenty space for us to sit, we don’t have to get inside the cave and the trees are not getting in the middle to disturb the view.

There are mountains all around us and they are so big and tall that at the top of them there is snow which means it is too cold up there and the sun is making the snow shine. The forest in front of our feet and all around us is so green, full of life, noises, smells and I think I can listen to a river but it is in too long distance from us.

“I can’t believe it!” I mutter breathless and place my hands on my chest above my heart.

“Daniel this is… I have no words!” I continue and he comes and stops right next to me admiring the view.

I turn to look at him and for some seconds I can’t take my eyes from his face… He is so beautiful and calm, his eyes that are generally light green are now even brighter and I see every sparkle in them from the light and his black hair is messy and so perfect at the same time. His skin is smoother, his lips are fleshier but they are irresistible and his body is…

A god’s!

He really enjoys nature sometimes, I wasn’t expecting this!

He turns to me after a while with me still looking at him because certainly he felt my eyes on him and I blush shyly as he turns his body on mine and wraps his hands around my waist. I rest my hands on his strong arms and sigh breathless.

“I had years to come here…” he says melancholically and I smile in sympathy.

“Why? You seem to like this place very much and…”

“I didn’t want to come alone… It is very special for me from the first moment I found it and I had promised to come here or alone or… With someone too important to me!” he cuts me off and I blush ever more in understanding.

He is killing me when he is so sweet, how am I supposed to react now?

FUCK DIANA!

Just relax and get used to it, don’t be so damn nervous, give him chances to talk more!

“And you came here with me…” I whisper forcing myself not to cry.

I observe Daniel leaning closer and when his hot lips place a long kiss on my forehead I smile and move my hands higher, on his shoulders. He doesn’t pull back after the kiss, I feel his exhales on my skin, I feel the warmth of his body on mine and I caress his shoulders slowly earning a low moan from him.

“You know you are important to me, don’t you?” he asks with complaint and I look at him in the eyes trying to listen to my heart.

Do I know it?

Yes, my heart feels what I mean to him and my mind is trying to block her from having so many hopes but I can’t lie… Not anymore!

“I know, it’s just difficult for me to believe it completely… And this is not your fault, it’s mine!” I reply after a while and he caps my face, leans and kisses me softly on the lips for some seconds.

“It’s never only the one’s fault Diana… You are not alone, we are in this together! I have to show more and do more but I want you to trust me and show some patience!” he says after we break the kiss and I turn a bit to kiss his palm.

He is taking the blame for my fears and this is somehow wrong because I see so many things from him that I have to take more steps forward. He is not responsible when I admit he has changed but I hesitate for my own reasons.

“And I have to open up more, I am keeping my distance and I am not helping you show me more! I know when I am wrong and I have no problem to accept it under these circumstances!” I state and he narrows his eyes troubled.

“Which circumstances?”

Fuck Daniel, help me a bit, don’t make it harder than it is!

He is right although… He has to know and I need to open my big, closed till now mouth and tell him, he deserves to know, us he said we are in this together now, I am not alone!

“You are trying and you are honest, you have given me no right to doubt you but I do because I am thinking too much!” I say with determination and he smile warmly.

“It is alright my Queen… You just admitted it which means you are ready to face it and work on it! I have no problem, don’t worry, I understand!” he whispers rubbing his nose on mine and I close my eyes moving ever more to him.

I can’t deny that I love his comprehension and patience but I am getting tiring and the last thing I want is to annoy him so much and push him away. I need to break my barriers, at least some of them, he has already done it for me and I have to do the same.

As Elena said it’s about giving and taking!

“Daniel…” I whisper timidly with a shy smile and he groans opening his eyes a bit to look into mine.

“Yes?” he asks huskily and I peck his lips with mine but don’t kiss him.

“Thank you for treating me like this, thank you for feeling I am important to you and for sharing this place with me…”

Daniel’s pov

I close my eyes emotional when these words leave her lips and I purr relieved.

It’s like she is telling me she acknowledges I am really trying and this is what matters me the most, I want her to know I am honest and she is everything for me and as it seems…

She feels it!

“She is softening, you are proving her you are not playing and she knows you have feelings for her! Now I think you have to tell her about… You know!” Devon murmurs encouragingly and I nod to him nervously.

I guess I have to tell her, she needs to know and I promised her! I wanted to tell her here because it’s a special place for me, I feel comfortable here and it’s a relaxing atmosphere for both of us!

I take a deep breath, clear my throat and open my eyes slowly to find her already looking at me, reading my thoughts and nervous expression. My heartbeat gets faster, I feel my palms sweating but I force myself to find the courage I need because it won’t be easy for both of us.

“I think it will be better if we sit…” she says softly and I nod quickly.

We break our mini hug and sit down on the rocks in the middle of the hole. Our bodies are facing each other’s and I sigh taking her right hand in mine, like she did last night in her sleep.

Even such a ‘simple’ yet calm touch can give me all the strength of the world and the more days pass the stronger the feeling gets.

“It is okay Daniel! You can tell me anything you want, you know me, I can take it!” she says distinguishing my fear and gives me a big, warm smile.

“I know you can, it’s me that I can’t because I am afraid of… The possibility of losing you!” I murmur nervously but she doesn’t look worried or frustrated.

“Alright… I am aware of the fact that this has to do with me so what is happening?” she asks calmly and I take a deep breath.

It’s time, I can do it, I have to, I trust her!

“Your father and mine faced the rogues’ King lots of years ago, do you remember?” I ask and she nods immediately.

“Yes, it was the last time the best fighters were gathered here to help, I mean before this one! Your father killed him, I know stories about it!” she replies and I shake my head in agreement.

“He had a son and he took his place!”

“You mean he is behind these attacks?” she asks before I say more.

“Yes, that’s right but you don’t know why he began attacking us…” I say firmly and she stiffens thoughtfully but in the end signs for me to explain.

“I… He knows about you Diana, he knows everything! He knew about us being mates, he knew you changed your identity and took Iris’, he knew you were one of the best fighters and the hunters that attacked your pack with the one that shot you…”

“Were his job, everything!” she ends my phrase a bit dizzy and I nod.

Her eyes get darker, she locks them on mine and her face’s expression turns cold, dark and scary. It’s the first time I see her so… Angry and terrifying! Believe me when Diana is silent she is scarier than when she is screaming, roaring, yelling and breaking everything around her.

My blood freezes in my veins the more seconds pass and I don’t react, I am waiting for her to say or do something but nothing comes out of her mouth and she does not move at all, she is like a statue.

SHIT!

“He wanted me… Here?” she finally ‘asks’ after a while and I shake my head in agreement.

“But why and how did he know? I mean…” she starts and stops, her eyes open widely and places her hands on her lips shaking.

I think she just realized what I wanted to tell her next…

“My ‘parents’… Right? They told him!?” she asks breathless and I groan rubbing the back of my neck.

What can I tell her now when whatever I say won’t ease her pain?

I know they never loved her and she knows it better but I am sure it is hurting her very much. They were supposed to love her, protect her, support her and they did the exact opposite things!

“I don’t know how they found it out that day, we were alone, I promise you! I have no idea what happened, I remember everything and I was careful but they found out somehow and they were working for him from the beginning… Before you and Aiden were born, I will tell you everything about them, Marcus told my father and Aiden all the things we need to know!” I say quickly worried observing her broken now expression.

“Yeah… Um… And what about the rogues’ ‘King’?” she asks through her teeth and leans forward impatiently with her big, light blue and grey eyes burning.

Alright, my skin is shivering, really! This is killing me…

“I don’t know why he didn’t try to kill you again when you were in England and I am glad he didn’t but our suspicion is that he wanted me to know about you! He wanted us to meet again, he wanted me to find out that you are Diana and not Iris and probably this happened because he wanted to hurt me, he was planning to kill you but I destroyed his plans when I told you that you are not allowed to fight anymore! And right now… It is very luckily for him to have changed his plans!” I say and stop to breathe unable to continue.

I don’t know how I am going to tell her the rest, she is going to feel… I don’t know but I am freaking out in the idea of dying without killing him because then she is going to be alone and I don’t want him to hurt her or force her in anything!

“What does he want now?” she asks huskily while tightening her hold around my hand and I sigh lowering my head.

“You… And me dead. In this way he…”

“Will try to make everyone in the Kingdom accept him easily!” she says interrupting me and I nod hiding my face in my one palm.

I hold back a sob and start trembling again but do my best to calm down because I don’t want to worry her. This possibility is a real torture for me, it’s hell and I will do anything I can to prevent this from happening but what if I don’t make it?

What if…

“Daniel, calm down!” I listen to her saying softly and before I understand what is happening I am pulled in her arms and she kisses the top of my head constantly.

She is calm, she is not frustrated or scared, she is more worried for me than herself and I can’t understand how someone can be so brave!

She doesn’t care about herself and…

“And you don’t care about yourself, this is real love Daniel!” Devon tells me firmly feeling my nervousness and I wrap my arms around her pulling her to sit on my lap.

“I want you safe, that’s all, I will do everything I can, I will…” I start saying harshly and she buries her hands in my hair to pull my head quickly back.

My eyes meet hers and the time stops for me, I am too lost to talk!

She is staring at me with a peaceful yet serious gaze, it’s like she is a Goddess and not a woman, she is so different, so unique, so confident and strong…

“He will never touch me, you have my word!” she whispers and with her one free hand she touches my cheek and leans closer to my face.

Her eyes are never leaving mine and I am paralyzed, I feel nothing except from my heart that wants to explode right here and now for her.

“There is only one King Daniel and he is here with me! He can’t be defeated, he won’t lose! And my place is next to him, I will do anything to stand on his side and help him in any way there is! That man won’t have me, I promise you!” she says decidedly and I sigh overwhelmed.

“Diana… How do you… Know?”I ask breathless and she smiles.

She takes my right hand in hers and slowly places it on her chest. It’s right above her heart and I feel mine fighting to get out of my chest to become one with hers.

“She knows Daniel and I can’t doubt her!” she whispers as she touches her forehead on mine and our breaths get mixed.

“My place Daniel is next to one specific man…” she continues and I exhale desperate in her half opened mouth as she sits better on my lap.

I feel so hot and all I need is her! She is my universe and the way she is looking at me, talking and touching me is mesmerizing! Right now she looks like she has gotten out of fairytale more than any other time.

I know I need her, I knew it but now… Something breaks and it is my existence till now as one alone person without her…

Diana is my life now because I won’t live without her again, I will die if I lose her!

“Daniel…” she whispers breathless with our lips almost touching.

“Yes?”

“You are that man because… You are important to me!”

Hello my friends!!!

The chapter 32 is here!

This time it is not so long and I am sorry! I had to update the book yesterday but as some of you know tomorrow it's the last chapter of the first book Mates And Enemies, so I had to write it and today I did my best to update this book! And here we are! 

I have to tell you from now that in the next chapter we are going to see a flashback of what happened with Marcus, Aiden and Jonathan, I know you are interested in it and so am I so Daniel is going to tell us and also get ready for some memories from Diana's past, some confessions and reveallings!

And at this point let me remind you about two new books!

The first one is called Cleo's Heart Decisions and it's about a girl that is getting rejected from her mate and Alpha for someone else, she doesn't want to leave but she is in pain and there is a mysterious unknown wolf gains her interest! Lots of secrets and revealings are going to bring the upside down in her life and the pain is going to change her heart and future probably forever! 

Moreover there is one more new book and the first chapter was published yesterday and it's name is Thorns Of The Past! It is about three couples with different love stories. Becky run away after Gabriel marked someone else and they meet again after 18 years but this time Becky has their kids. Their son find his mate in the face of Gabriel's stepdaughter's, Hayley's, the daughter of the woman that got between his parents. Lots of problems, fights and dangers are going to threaten everyone so if you are interested check it out, I can't say more, I am sorry!

And now back to our story as I am looking forward to know your thoughts and opinions!
