Lorek decided to take the opportunity of safety to actually rest a while. He made his way to the couch and got comfortable, resting his eye. He didn't intend to fall asleep, but he was quite exhausted.
Talia woke before him, only to see that Layla was gone. she's quick to jump off the bed, opening the door and rushing down the hall, only to find Layla laughing, watching Arthur create illusions, putting on a show for Layla. Talia breaths a sigh of relief as she walks over to them.
"Layla, you're not bothering Arthur, are you?" She asks, giving Layla a concerned look to which Arthur smiles."Not at all, I really don't mind. She was curious about my gift, so I was showing her a few things." Arthur then stands up."The stew should almost be ready. I'll wake Lorek."
when Arthur pokes at Lorek, he's sure to do it at a bit of a distance and with good reason. the moment he pokes him, Lorek has his sword in his hand and jumps up. "Just me. stew to eat." Arthur is as clam as ever while Lorek nods, sheathing his sword again.
They all sit at the table, Arthur putting the pot of stew in the center and handing everyone a bowl to serve themselves. it's rather quiet, almost awkwardly quiet, as they eat. That is until Layla suddenly stops eating, her eyes glowing lightly
"What do you see?" Talia asks with concern but also curiosity. Layla is silent for a moment before speaking in a whisper. "Friends, friends to die for his crime. they've been accused of helping him. Locked up and sentenced." She let's out a breath as her eyes go back to normal.
She looks to Lorek, looking solemn. "They know who helped you escape. they've been charged with treason. The first will be executed tomorrow at sundown, and the other will be the day after." Lorek is not pleased about this revelation. Those who helped him were very good friends. "Did you see where they were being held?" He asks curiously, and Talia immediately knows where he's going with that."You can't be seriously thinking of trying to save them. that would be suicide." Lorek just sighs."I have to. they're good men. I will leave when the sun sets." He turns his attention to Layla once again."Tell me everything you saw, every detail."
