what to do now?

Lorek didn't stop until the horse was visibly becoming tired that he finally slowed pace, letting the horse have a break. He found a small creak so the horse can drink and rest a bit. He helps Tali and Layla down and takes the horse to the water giving the horse a pet "drink all you want, still got a bit to go." Talia was trying her best not to start panicking but her voice is a bit shaky "where exactly are we going? do you even have a plan? or are we just running blindly?" Lorek could see that she was clearly concerned and probably shocked about her situation "I know a place, a place where we can stop and think about what to do next. a safe place." He says trying his best to sound reassuring and he puts a hand on her should which surprisingly does help her relax a bit "it's all going to be fine. trust me." He says with a smile. after giving the horse a few more minutes they climb back on and continue with their journey. they could see the sun starting to rise now, they had put a very good amount of distance between them and the town. Talia however becomes confused when Lorek stops the horse seemingly in the middle of nowhere, nothing but trees around them "is...this the safe place you were talking about?" He nods "yep." he gets off the horse and walks over to a tree knocking on it which only makes Talia even more confused as the the tree seems to dissappear turning into a door as it opens. A man is standing in the doorway with a smile on his face "Lorek, I was wondering when you'd show up. come on in." Lorek looks to Talia and Layla gesturing for them to follow him. Talia is hesitant but Layla seems completely relaxed and confident grabbing onto Talia's hand and pulling her through the door into a cabin "how...is this possible?" the man smiles at Talia "I can create illusions. It's my gift." Lorek looks to Talia "This is Arthur. he was once a royal guard, but he left the order." Talia raises her eyebrow at that "left? I thought once you took your oath, it was for life?" Arthur kind of chuckles "It is. they didn't exactly give me permission to leave, but needless to say, my gift made it easy for me to hide from them." He turns his attention to Lorek "you seem to have gotten yourself into quite the predicament, care to fill me in?" Lorek takes a seat with Arthur and goes through everything that has happened, the prince murdering the king, escaping his execution, being on the run. Arthur is quiet, seemingly deep in his thoughts "So that little bastard finally went through with it...I always knew there was evil in that boy's eyes." He lets out a long sigh "you're of course welcome to stay as long as needed, I always enjoy having visitors. there are 2 rooms down that way." He says looking at Talia and Layla "you look exhausted from recent events, I suggest you get some sleep and once you are rested I will have a nice hot bowl of stew prepared for you." Talia couldn't help but smile at how kind he was, he didn't even hesitate to help them."Thank you, Arthur." She takes Layla and goes to one of the rooms so they can get some sleep. Once the door closes, Arthur gives Lorek a look."So, what's with the girl?" He smiles a bit,"she saved me, and she helped me escape, I don't think I would have made it this far without her help." He says honestly, and Arthur simply nods."Fair enough. Do you have your next move in mind?" Lorek nods."I wouldn't say it's set in stone or anything, but I am going to cut that little s**t's head off." He says with anger."He's not going to get away with this." Arthur grins at the sentiment "I'll admit, I haven't fought in a long time, but I would be more than willing to help you with this task." Lorek seems pleased by that and also pretty relieved, it's good to have people on his side and to have his back. "Thank you, Arthur. I could use all the help I can get." In all honesty Arthur was actually pretty excited to have a chance to get revenge on the crown, to show the people and the other royal guards that they aren't prisoners, they're not slaves that have to follow orders or die.
