I woke up to light, gentle kisses on my cheek, forehead, lips, all over my face and opened my eyes to the most glorious sight anyone could ever see; Elliott’s face. A smile involuntarily took up residence on my face as I realized this wasn’t an elaborate day dream brought on by head trauma, I really was here and everything— including my handsome mate— was real.
“Good morning, beautiful. I snuck downstairs and grabbed you some options for breakfast in case you’re feeling up to eating. How are you feeling?” Elliott’s eyes were filled with kindness and concern. I couldn’t believe he’d gone down and gotten me a special breakfast just to give me some more rest, I’d never experienced someone thinking of me and attempting to do things for me to make my day easier.
