“I have some really bad news,” my mate’s voice on the phone sounded more than a little irritated, sounded actually frightened.
“What’s the matter, my love?” A lame attempt to soothe. It was almost impossible to do anymore, especially after not seeing each other for so long.
“They’re both gone, they both just left.” My mate said with an anxious edge, almost as if unable to believe it.
“Where could they have gone?!” I snapped. This imbecile had one job and couldn’t even handle that. “You fix this right now!”
“Well,” my mate’s voice sounded suddenly a bit more measured, a bit less frantic, as if trying to soften some sort of blow. “I can’t exactly do much to fix it at the moment.”
“Why?” I growled a bit too harshly into the phone.
“Well, we’re sort of,” A nervous alm
