The eyelids lifted heavily, pulling apart. I covered my face with my hand, the light so bright it hurt. The view before my eyes was slowly becoming familiar. Where am I? A path trodden in the grass, pink petals falling from the trees beneath my feet. Around me the sakura are in bloom, and the path stretches onwards towards the horizon. Footsteps sound behind me, then a voice follows, audible, warm, as welcoming as home.
