I shuddered at the voice that sounded next to me. My gaze went to the dark-haired girl lying next to me, her two red-yellow eyes fixed on the sky. I hadn't recognised her from her voice, but now I knew who she was. It's Scarlett, the girl who represents the vampires. How did she end up here? I didn't hear a single step or strange sound around me.
"Yes, autumn makes this college more magical than any other time of year." My gaze returned to the vibrating red leaves of the tree.
"Are you excited?" Scarlett's voice shattered the silence again.
In my mind, I'm still trying to find the reason why she decided to show up here? Did she overhear my conversation with Madeline? I hope not, she probably likes the quiet or wanted to get away from all the fuss as I did.
