THE CONFESSION (Aden's POV)

895 Words
After about thirty minutes of following my mate's car, we arrived at a cafe, Sunflower cafe. We parked and they came down, I could see that they didn't trust me, this discouraged me, I could tell convincing them that I was speaking the truth was going to be very difficult. We entered the cafe and I chose a space that was a bit exclusive to give us as much privacy as possible but they refused that. The woman picked a spot close to the door and they all sat down. I had no choice but to join them at that table. I ordered some fruit juice just to calm the tension. "So, you wanted to speak to Elsa, here she is. What do you have to say?", the woman stated with seriousness. "It is an important yet delicate topic. I am Aden Sliver, the CEO of Sliver companies.", I started. I could see the shock on the woman's face, apparently she knows my company. Just before I could continue, Austin walks in, he sees us and comes to sit beside us. They all eyed with questions and suspicions. "This is Austin, my best friend and personal assistant." They relaxed a little. "Apart from being the CEO of Sliver companies, I am also a werewolf." I stopped to read their expressions. If they weren't so suspicious of my intentions, they would have probably started laughing, they didn't believe me and was apparently waiting for me to say I was joking. "I am the alpha of the silver moon pack, hence the surname and I had just found my mate recently" I hoped that they believed me but I knew that was Impossible, surprisingly Bolt is silent. He is never silent so I was worried this was a bad sign. "Okay, so how does this have to do with Elsa?", the woman asked. "Elsa's my mate" I stated looking at Elsa's face for some sense of comfort but I could see only disbelief. The woman suddenly chuckled, "So, let me get this straight, you are the CEO of such a big company but also a creature from story books and somehow my daughter is your mate?" "yes" "You must be joking." she said."I'm not. You have to believe me, Elsa please" I looked at her, she looked away and my heart dropped. Maybe I rushed things, maybe I shouldn't have said anything. I became silent, I had nothing more to say. "Ma'am please may I have a word with you in private?" Austin asked. "No, I'm not leaving these children alone with this delusional man", the woman said. "We won't go far, just over there. You would still be able to see them", Austin asked politely, pointing not to far from us hoping to convince her. She agrees and followed him after exchanging glances with the teenagers. I couldn't bear to look up at any of them, I just couldn't bear to be rejected. "So are there dragons where you come from?", a girl asked sarcastically. I ignored her and looked at Elsa, she looked away, why couldn't she feel the mate bond even for a little bit? I looked at Austin, he was speaking to the woman, I just realized that the woman was Elsa's mum, I see where Elsa got her looks from. Austin was showing the woman something on his phone and the woman's body language showed disbelief and shock. After a few minutes, they both came back and the woman seemed a lot more confused. I waited for her to say something, everyone was looking at her. "I have spoken to um him", she apparently forgot Austin's name but with everything that's going on, I think that's the least of her problem right now. "He would fill you in on whatever we spoke about. I don't know what's going on but I would like to be enlightened. Till then stay away from my daughter and her school. I don't wish to see you within five miles radius of either of them, do you understand?", she said sternly and though I was confused and hurt, I was also a bit happy because it wasn't an outright no. "Okay" "Let's go", she got up and all the teenagers followed her, I sat still and watch their car leave the parking lot. I didn't want them to think that I was following them and I didn't have the energy to move for a few minutes. I turned to Austin, "What did you say to her?" "I showed some pictures of us at the pack house both in human and wolf form. She isn't fully convinced but I told her that she and Elsa can spend the coming at the pack and meet other members. This would definitely convince her", he explained. This would definitely convince her or scare her away forever. The weekend was two days away. "She gave me her phone number so she can send the pickup location after she's consulted with Elsa's father, she isn't comfortable with us going their house." Austin finished, I took a deep breath but I wasn't feeling refreshed. I needed to speak to my mum in order to make necessary arrangements and ensure no sudden actions so they don't get scared. Austin had to drive me home because I was in no condition to drive after that meeting.
