Chapter 17: Confused

Ana looked up and saw Gabriel's back, next to Ashley who was making signs.

_Marcos, don't get me wrong but I love my boyfriend, she said and Gabriel stopped without turning to see her, but he noticed her and smiled.

_It's okay Ana, I can still help you get an apartment, I have good contacts, Gabriel couldn't contain himself and approached them.

_Ooh, he heard it, it was Ashley who was watching the whole scene.

_Gabriel.

_How timely! Marcos commented sarcastically, taking distance.

_Go to your position, the break is over, he said.

Marco laughed, and without thinking he stood up for Ana.

_He just arrived, Marcos stood between them.

_It's okay, Ana said.

_Anyway, don't worry about the apartment, because Gabriel and I will move in together, she said before leaving.

Ashley began to scream with joy.

Marcos watched the scene with a disgusted face.

Without saying anything, Marcos left, leaving Gabriel triumphant. He smiled, but his joy did not last long when he remembered Ana's words.

“I can't believe it,” he said indignantly.

Ana had said it to get revenge on him by trying to issue an order in front of her friends, she couldn't leave a bad taste in her mouth.

She knew he would reprimand her later, but she didn't care.

At the end of the day, a great trip awaited her to her aunt's house, but close to the Henderson mansion. Gabriel could take her, but he didn't.

She walked to the bus stop, while she went over each moment with him. She was very happy that he recognized her as her girlfriend and much more that Gabriel did so.

If he was going to play this game, she had to measure up she thought, but first she needed to find a better place. Tomorrow he would try to leave the mansion early to go see an apartment nearby, then she would take care of her appearance.

The transportation did not arrive, and it was getting later and later... For that reason she had to move around the area.

After a few minutes, the wind began to shake the treetops violently, while loud thunder began to be heard from the sky.

Ana was sitting trying to find a place to shelter from the rain. She hugged her body because of the sudden drop in temperature.

_Sir, don't you think it's better to take her to her house.

_You are not her driver. The task I gave you is simple, don't let the Whisly hurt her.

_OK. She only said it because of the big storm, and the cold.

Gabriel was not compassionate towards her, he was still upset by the behavior he had had in front of Marcos even though he did not admit it.

Ana ran in search of shelter to avoid getting wet, while she took her cell phone to make a call. After a few minutes, a black car parks in front of her. Ana talks to him, after that she gets in, she had not realized that there was another car guarding. Without thinking twice, I notify her boss.

Gabriel asked her to take the license plate information to investigate the driver, while he followed her to her destination.

The trip was short. Ana got out of the car to go in front of a building, then a young man left the place with an umbrella and escorted her inside.

Gabriel's driver was in charge of sending him her report, her work had been completed.

Gabriel walked around thinking about who his companion could be; he feared that it had to do with one of the Whislys, although the driver clarified that they seemed very close.

“Very close?” he repeated.

Not being able to relax her mind, he made the decision to call her. He needed to make sure she was safe, he told himself.

Ana was slow to respond and that made him even more angry, until he heard her voice.

_Hello, she greeted, confused, ignoring that Gabriel had called her by mistake. Today he seemed very upset after what happened with Marcos.

_We have to talk, he said in a demanding tone.

_Let's talk, he heard you, Ana responded.

_Send me your location.

_I can't, I'm not at home, she responded.

_Where are you? He asked, but I don't need an answer.

_Now I'm going.

Ana was excited to hear that, she didn't know what was so urgent to go through terrible weather at that time of night.

Her mind began to imagine various romantic events, she didn't want to get her hopes up but she couldn't help but think.

After everything happened, he started looking for her. Although he had promised not to fall in love with him, it was impossible not to. When his heavenly eyes looked at her, her entire being shook.

_It's a date! Ashley shouted excitedly and Ana couldn't help but smile.

_I'm happy for you Ana, commented Bruno.

"We have time to get you ready," he said and went to her closet.

_No, calm down. I do not want to disturb.

It was impossible to refuse Ashley, who quickly took the initiative.

_Something simple, it is raining and it is cold.

_I'll take care of it, she responded.

After half an hour, his phone rings, it was him. Ana got nervous when she looked in the mirror, she didn't want Gabriel to think that she was trying to seduce him.

She was wearing a short black dress with sleeves, thin stockings, boots and a beautiful jacket. She left her hair down and a little makeup that made her look very pretty.

Ashley, she invited him to come up, although he initially refused, she ended up agreeing.

Ana was standing at the door trying to hide her nerves, she heard the elevator open and it was him.

Ashley received him, behind her came Bruno who looked indifferent. He knew very well that he was the culprit of spreading the rumors that he was gay.
