Chapter 1: The Big day.
"Wake up, sleepy head!" Ava exclaimed, shaking Tiara awake. "It's 7 am! Aren't you going for your job interview? Do you want to be late?" Tiara's eyes snapped open, and she jolted upright, her heart racing. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, remembering the crucial job interview at Gold Enterprises. It was scheduled for 8 am sharp! She tossed off the covers and rushed to the bathroom to start her morning routine. Ava followed, chatting excitedly as she helped Tiara get ready. "Okay, let's get you looking fabulous!" Ava said, handing Tiara a towel. "You're going to nail this interview!" Tiara smiled, feeling a surge of confidence. She took a deep breath, ready to tackle the day. Tiara quickly showered, dressed in her best business attire, and styled her hair. She took a few deep breaths, mentally preparing herself for the interview. Downstairs, Ava had already set the table with a hearty breakfast spread. Tiara's favorite coffee, scrambled eggs, and whole-grain toast filled the air with a savory aroma. "Sit down, enjoy your breakfast, and relax," Ava said, giving Tiara a reassuring smile. "You've got this! You're smart, talented, and perfect for this role." Tiara smiled, feeling a surge of gratitude toward her best friend. "Thanks, Ava. Just talking to you makes me feel more confident." Ava squeezed Tiara's hand. "That's what friends are for! Now, eat up and let's get you to that interview on time." Ava grabbed her car keys. "I'll drive you to the interview. We'll make sure you arrive feeling calm and confident." Tiara smiled, relieved. "Thanks, Ava. You're a lifesaver." As they drove through the bustling streets of Los Angeles, Ava chatted about everything except the interview, helping to distract Tiara from her nerves. After a 20-minute drive, they arrived at Gold Enterprises, a sleek, modern high-rise in the heart of the city. Ava pulled up to the entrance. "Wow, this place looks impressive," Ava said, turning to Tiara. "You're going to crush it in there." Tiara took a deep breath, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. "Thanks, Ava. I'll do my best." Ava smiled and handed Tiara a small notebook. "I wrote down some last-minute encouragement. Read it before you go in." Tiara's eyes welled up with gratitude as she hugged Ava. "You're the best friend ever. Tiara stepped out of the car and onto the sidewalk, smoothing her dress and taking a deep breath. She walked towards the entrance of Gold enterprise and was amazed with the interior, which was way more beautiful than the outside. She walked towards the reception where she met the secretary and asked for what floor the interview will take place. The secretary was beautiful and with the way she speaks, she's soft. The secretary directed her and Tiara thanked her. As Tiara stepped into the elevator, she couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nerves. She took a deep breath, reminding herself of her preparation and qualifications. The elevator doors opened on the 23rd floor, and Tiara walked out into a sleek, modern lobby. As Tiara waited in the conference room, she noticed a stream of well-dressed candidates walking in and introducing themselves. Ethan greeted each of them, handing out copies of their resumes and the interview schedule. Tiara's eyes widened as she counted at least a dozen candidates, all vying for the same financial analyst position. She took a deep breath, reminding herself of her preparation and qualifications. Rachel Lee, a poised and professional woman in her mid-40s, entered the conference room, surveying the group with a professional smile. "Welcome, everyone, to the financial analyst interview. We'll be conducting a series of individual and group interviews to assess your skills and fit for the role." The candidates murmured among themselves, exchanging nervous glances. Rachel continued, "We'll start with a brief introduction from each of you, followed by a group discussion on a financial case study." After the group discussion, Rachel thanked the candidates and announced that they would proceed with individual interviews. "Ethan will escort you to the interview room one by one. Please remember to bring your copies of your resumes and any supporting documents."
