Chapter Three I was awake when Jackie woke up. She stared at the ceiling lost in thought for a few minutes then got up without saying a word. When I went downstairs, she was sitting in the conservatory. Usually when Jackie is low her natural optimism will pull her through. Its best if I say nothing. But it always makes me nervous when I see her thinking deeply. I felt the need to disrupt whatever train of thought she was following. “How is the hangover this morning?
