Falling for doom: Fire and ice

Queen Esmee's pov There is chaos everywhere, I can't find my mate anywhere. Fire balls fly over my head but I keep pushing through. My injuries are deep and fresh but I need to get my little baby to a safe place. The fire king has brought war on the water kingdom and the royal werewolf pack. My twin sister, Queen of the air kingdom and our friend king Dominic of the earth kingdom have joined me and my werewolf mate, king Asher in the war. But we are no much for for the young king, our armies are dying out rapidly and I need to hide my daughter. At a distance I see Asher limping towards me and I move to him "Asher we are losing, command the armies to retreat" I tell him. He looks at me and our child "Esmee, listen to me, go and hide, protect our little princess. I will come and find you. I am not leaving the battle till I end this once and for all" he says in a serious tone. He gives me a kiss and strokes Bella's hair. " go now" he say with a little bit of sadness in his voice. Before I turn to leave a ring of Fire forms around us and Asher pulls me closer to him. I look in his icy blue eyes and he looks at me with reassuring confidence. " Going somewhere your highness?" A voice rings out mockingly. I turn around and look at the young king. He looks lethal with fire around him and blood. He has a smirk on his young handsome face and it's full of malice and hatred. " Ahhhh look what we have here, a little baby." I hear Asher growl dangerously behind me and pulls me behind him. "Am not letting you touch my mate and child" Asher says and I can see him visibly fight for control in his wolf. He is so tense and waiting for any move on us. " Am not her for jokes. Am here for revenge and I will get it. I will kill your little heir and you both. I will watch as your kingdoms die. Or I can just kill you two and leave the the little thing to grow up alone just like you made me do" the fire king says slowly and his eyes are ablaze with hatred. I take a deep breath and look at the young man, he is so young he doesn't look over 18. " listen young king I don't know what you are going through but war isn't the best way to solve it" I try to reason with him but he just lets out and angry snarl. "Enough of this chitchat" he says and raises up a hand and a huge ball of fire forms in his hand. "No!!" Asher shouts as he shields me with his body. I see a bright white light appear around me and I clutch little Bella to me tight and close my eyes waiting for the pain, but I don't feel any. I feel the scenery around me change and all the war noises die out. I open my eyes and I find myself looking at luxurious wall of what I think is a throne room. Asher is still holding me and Bella tightly. He too slowly notices the change in atmospheres and he looks around but he still has a protective arm around me and our baby. " You don't have to worry, the war has ceased. You are safe here" I hear a beautiful melody of a voice ring out through the huge halls. I turn to the voice and am met with the gracefully beautiful witch queen. Her mesmerizing earth coloured eyes look at us warmly but like always she has this aura about her that shows she knows something we don't. I bow to her" your highness, what do we owe the pleasure of saving us" I ask her. "We don't have enough time your highnesses, we need to take the princess into hiding " the witch queen says. I nod at her but Asher has something else on his mind."We can't go into hiding our people need us. We just went to war and lost " he says with a frown on his handsome face. "We are not going into hiding Asher, we just need to get Bella to a safe location " I try to reason with him. I know how much he loves his daughter. "I can't let my only pup out of my sight, we just had her, she's only five months!" He says his voice raising slightly. I put my hand on his chest. He relaxes slightly but he is still tense. " Asher I know it's really hard but it's for Bella's safety. You know she's unique and the fire king is out for revenge ever since his parents were killed. Please for Bella's sake" I plead with my eyes. Asher relaxes and his shoulders slump in defeat. He looks exhausted. " Am just worried about her honey. We just had her and I want to be there for her in every stage of her life. Her first shift and everything " he says looking really vulnerable. It's a rare sight to see the big bad alpha of all alphas look so weak. I raise my hand and touch his cheek " she will come back to us when it is safe enough for her to return " I whisper to him. Bella makes a giggly noise and we both look at her in my arms. Her icy blue eyes with swirls of light purple smile at us. She has her father's eyes. I smile at that. Asher as always loved her hair which is brown with blue swirls in it. It's a sign of water elemental royal bloods. "Okay for her safety " Asher says and I give him a hug. Queen Ester clears her throat behind us and we turn to her. She smiles at us when she notices we have come to an agreement. "The fire king can sense her powers. We need to put a binding spell on al her water and wolf powers." Queen Ester says. " She will be like a human and it will be easy for her to fit in among them" she continues. I step forward and now at her to proceed. She starts chanting some word and I see a white light coming from my daughter. The blue swirls slowly fade from her hair until it is only brown hair. "It's time to take her to the place she will be, I will take her" the witch queen says. I place Bella in her arms and a portal opens behind her. "Am sorry to do this but neither of you should know where I take the princess. It's too risky" as the queen says that I feel drowsy and a deep panic grips my heart. I hear Asher let out a menacing growl and everything goes black. Unknown pov The witch queen enters the human realm and a middle aged woman bows before her. " welcome your highness, what do I owe this visit " the lady says her blond hair in a tight bun. " Arise, I have an assignment for you. I wish for you to watch this little girl. I will be leaving her at a random human house door. Watch her till the humans take her in" the young queen orders her softly. The lady bows again . The queen walks through the dimly lit street and she looks down at the little girl in her arms. She is fast asleep now. She will be a great leader and bing all the kingdoms of the realms together. That's why she's so special. Her destiny will change so many things and bring peace. The young queen sighs out. And smile at the sleeping infant. "If only the fire king knew " and with that she puts the baby on a random doorstep and places a letter on her wrap saying BELLA BLACK . " Until you are ready young princess." She rings the doorbell and vanishes into thin air. The blond witch is hiding in the shadows wondering what the queen is doing with a human child. The door to the house opens and a pregnant woman steps out. She let's out a gasp of surprise and picks up the baby she is absolutely adorable, she thinks. She looks out searching for the one who could have left the baby but the street are barren. She looks at the baby and enters her house to go and tell her husband the news.
