I didn’t respond to Raven, and I didn’t know if Alpha Milo knew something. I was going to look into it, the way he stared at me, and the sort of confidence in his eyes.
To prove to me that something was wrong, and I don’t know what it was, I needed to call on Jamal to look into it and find out anything he could get from them.
“What are we going to do if he knows?”
“Don’t tell me he intended to come to get you?”
I glanced at Raven and caught her gaze on me, I smiled at her.
“You don’t have to worry, Raven.”
“I just can’t help it.” She said, and looked away from me, her gaze settled over at the window.
