Chapter 3

Mias POV

Well today was a weird one. First that hottest man Iv ever seen wouldn’t stop starring at me. Then Troy the foot ball quarterback, mr popular keep fallowing me around.

The final bell rang to signal that’s it’s time to go home. Most kids are excited because it’s Friday which mean weekend. It means 2 days home with my dad. He works Saturday this weekend so he will be only home Sunday which is better then nothing. I sigh and head to my locker. I put my books in my locker and grab my backpack. I head out of the school and walk home. My dad won’t be off work till 5.

When I arrive at home there is a nice car parked out front. WTF is that. No one can afford that car in this neighborhood. Maybe it’s some d**g boss.

I ignore the car and walk up to my run down front porch. While I’m digging for my keys I hear someone get out of the car which sets me into a panic. I drop my house keys and my heart is beating so fast.

“Here” I hear a husky voice say.

I flip around and it’s Mr. Black from school.

“M-Mr. Black. W-What are you d-doing here?”

“Well I read your recent paper from Mr. Walters class and I’m impressed. You are a smart girl and have excellent grades. I was wondering if you would like to get dinner and talk about my offer of a job at my main office.”

Wait he wants to give me a job? With a job like that I would be able to save up and move out much sooner. I wonder if I could be home before my dad comes home. If he goes out right after work to the bar I should be fine.

“Y-yes. I am interested!”

“I will be back at 5 to pick up”

He walks back to his car. Is that a smile on his face? Omg what will I wear? I don’t have any nice clothes. I run upstairs to my closet. I have a he to get ready.

Lucas POV

She said yes. Omg I just fist pumped in my car.

Leo is howling with joy.

I mind linked my mom.

•Mom, she said yes to having dinner. I told her I had a job offer for her at my office downtown. But I will give her a job just to get close to her.

•That’s great son! Eeek I’m so excited.

I drive home and get changed. I pull on a nice pair of Jean and a black button up shirt. My palms are sweaty. God I don’t think Iv ever been so nervous. Make a good impression. I need mate to except us. I always make a good impression. Shut up Mutt. Stupid human.

I block Leo out when I pull up in front of her house. She comes out the front door. She is wearing a nice purple sweater and black leggings with small leather boots. God she’s so hot. She looks amazing. Open the door for mate.

I quickly get out and open the door. She blushed. She is so beautiful when she blushes. I quickly get in the car and drive to a nice restaurant downtown.

We take out seats.

“Order anything you want”

Mia’s POV

I can’t believe this is happening. He looks good enough to eat. Get a grip Mia. He is not interested in you like that. And dad would never allow it.

He takes me to the nicest restaurant we have in town. Omg Iv never been someone so nice.

“Order anything you want”

I will just order a salad. I don’t think I could even eat a whole meal. Perks of my dad never feeding me.

“Thanks, I will have the chicken Caesar salad.”

“So Mia tell me about yourself”

“Well I’m 17. I will be 18 next month. I like to draw. I don’t really do much. My father is kind of strict.”

“What are you looking for in a jobs? Be honest”

“I’m looking for something stable that I can make a decent income to afford my own place”

“Do you have a boyfriend?”

“Umm no” what a strange question. Is this a date and he is covering it up with a job interview.

“Why not? Your a beautiful girl”

“Is this really a job interview? Are you messing with me? Did someone put you up to this?”

“No I’m not messing with you. It a serious question.”

I stand up. “Well I don’t believe you. Why would you be asking me questions like this. It’s not like your interested in a girl like me. Stop being cruel”

I walk out of the restaurant leaving mr black in shock.
