It’s our wedding day. To have more privacy we decided to have the ceremony here in the apartment instead of at city hall. That meant we had to schedule a day for the city clerk to come to us. Dominic and I ended up having to wait until after New Years' to get married. Time seemed to drag on these past few days, but now it was finally happening. As we stood in front of the city clerk I couldn’t believe I was actually going through with this. My nerves were starting to hit and I felt my heart begin to race. Oh god, all of a sudden it’s really hot in here. I took in a shaky breath and I felt Dominic squeeze both my hands in his. I looked up and as soon as we made eye contact it was like everything just melted away. He gave me a smile that made my knees feel weak.
