“Ah ok cool. So what time will you be back home then? I was hoping we could cook dinner together tonight.” Thomas asked.

“I am not too sure, but I will be back to cook dinner with you.” She climbed on top of him a gave him a long kiss and jumped off the bed.

Vivianne and Julia planned to meet up at a small coffee shop where they served French pastries. They especially loved that place because of their signature, warm, French ‘crépes au chocolate’ which they have had ever since they have been friends since university. The crépes would always go down well with a delicious cappuccino with fresh cream.

Julia walked into the coffee shop and the doorbell rang, she decided to text her best friend to see if she was almost on her way there or should she order their usual. But she heard someone call out her name just before she hit send.

“Julia! Julia! Over here!” She looked over to see who it was and she saw Vivianne’s head sticking out over the small booth that they would sometimes choose to sit in. It was usually a choice between the one on the right which was overlooking the streets or the one that was further left the was overlooking the opposite cafe where they would admire all the men who would walk into that cafe.

“Hey, girl! You are here already, I was just texting you,” Julia said as she sat down on the faux leather white chairs.

“I just arrived about 10 minutes before you arrived. I am so happy to see you, dude. I haven’t seen you since the wedding,” said Julia. Julia instantly flashed back to James’ naked body against hers. She quickly pushed the thought away before she would be horny again.

They chatted for a few seconds about the new logo on the coffee shop’s front door before the waiter took their order.

“Yes, it has been forever. How have you been girl? What is happening at work and your love life? How is that guy you said you are seeing but you don’t know if he is serious?” Julia said as she handed the menus back to the waiter after he took their order. Julia wanted to get into the discussion of relationships as soon as possible. She couldn’t contain her excitement for too long so she decided to get right into it.

“Agh, it's alright I haven’t heard from him too much since we left for the wedding so I am not sure where we stand at the moment. And what about you though? How is Thomas?? You didn’t tell me what you guys discussed when you got back,” Vivianne said taking a sip of her cappuccino.

“Well, a hell of a lot has been happening in a short space of time. He got a job offer from a bigger fashion house. So that was a huge surprise. So we went out to celebrate yesterday.

“That’s awesome! I remember he mentioned to me that he wanted to move but I didn’t know he would get an offer so quickly,” Vivianne said.

”Yea it was very quick I must say. So that’s one thing and we eventually discussed everything when I got back and we both realized that we want to be with each other and that everything else doesn’t matter.” Julia said.

“Did you tell him about James?” She whispered for no reason at all.

“No I didn’t and he didn’t tell me about the b***h he has been messing around with the past couple of months. So we just decided to forget the whole thing happened,” Julia said moving her hand as the waiter placed their plates down in front of them.

“Thank you very much it looks amazing,” they both thanked the waiter.

“Oh ok so he never told you anything at all about that chick and you think you guys can get past the whole thing? How do you know he will not do it again?” Julia knew that Vivianne was just being a friend. She has always questioned every relationship that Julia has ever been in and this isn’t any different. Even if Vivianne and Thomas know each other and get along Julia would always expect her friend to question every guy’s intention when it came to Julia’s love life.

“Well I mean he did ask me to marry him,” Julia dangled her hand in front of Vivianne.

“What?! OMG, you are getting married?? This is amazing. Wow! Congratulations bestie,” Vivianne exclaimed.

“Yes! We are!” Julia said so proudly with a grin across her face.

Julia could tell that there was something off with Vivianne after she told her she will marry Thomas. She knew that Vivianne was not going to be so pleased that her best friend will be marrying a guy who cheated on her. But Julia didn’t care, she was very happy. She had picked Thomas and she was happy with her decision. And now they will be spending the rest of their lives together. What more can she want?
