Chapter 36 RORY WIPED THE RAIN from his face and brushed it from his hair as he descended the stairs. When he came out on the fourth floor, the light scent of someone's breakfast carried down the hallway and the light strain of music was the only sound he heard. Looking up and down the hallway to get his bearings, Rory cursed under his breath when he realized there was only this central staircase, which meant using the front or back entrance didn't matter. The lobby on the main floor would be a choke point and he would have to deal with the men from both sides of the building at the same time. There was a single elevator but that wouldn't be any use either. A couple of men could be waiting at the bottom or just stop it dead. His mind whirled as he moved cautiously down to the third floor
