"Brother Qing, this little punk is talking nonsense. I wouldn't dare have any designs on Molly. You bastard, I'll teach you a lesson!" The lewd man said, getting close. "See? He's enraged." I added another thorn in his side. "Enough! Such petty tricks can't fool me," the skinny guy said, though his face had turned noticeably paler. "I was just going to teach you a lesson today, but you're so ungrateful. Wang Wei, go!" I didn't expect him to hit me so suddenly, nor did I expect him to go first after telling Wang Wei to go. He kicked me so hard I stumbled, thankfully not collapsing to the ground in shame. This was the first trick I learned today. All's fair in war; only the shameless thrive. From now on, I'll be shameless. "You bastards, I'll fight you to the death!" I was only fourteen, still in puberty, my voice sharp and clear, tinged with a slight sob—it hurt so much. I charged forward haphazardly, trying to scratch the skinny guy's face. You think you're handsome? You think you use your looks to pick up girls? I'll scratch it raw! I know that even if you kill someone at fourteen, you won't be sentenced to death. Skinny Bamboo Pole got really angry when he saw me trying to grab his face. He kicked me again, and I... I actually dodged it, instinctively. At that moment, I was even a little grateful to Tara; she was practically training me. But while I dodged his kick, I couldn't dodge the p*****t. I was kicked straight into the sandpit where I did long jumps. "Tell me, do you submit?" Skinny Bamboo Pole grinned maliciously as he slowly approached. Was I going to fall here again today? I felt a pang of despair. Was I destined to be tormented by fate again? I lay in the sandpit, looking up at the bright moon. Were you laughing at me too? Hmm, no, I suddenly had an idea. Even though it wasn't honorable, I didn't care anymore. "Brother Qing, I have something to tell you. Molly asked me to give it to you." I waved to him. When the skinny guy heard it was Molly relaying the message, he seemed a little embarrassed. "You should have said so earlier! If you had..." "Molly told me to tell you, go to hell!" Just as the skinny guy was pretending to listen attentively, I grabbed a handful of sand from the sandpit and threw it at his face. "Ouch..." The skinny guy's pig-like scream echoed through the starry sky. The sleazy guy saw it and immediately came over to kick me. I did the same, but the sleazy guy was prepared and dodged, though he hesitated for a moment. Ignoring the pain, I kicked the sleazy guy. I meant to kick his chest, but I was too small, and by sheer coincidence, I kicked his crotch. "Ouch..." Another pig-like scream echoed through the brilliant starry sky. These two screams were obviously too abrupt; I heard someone coming this way. Damn it, no, I have to run! I ran faster and faster, until I reached the dormitory in one breath, and only then did I breathe a sigh of relief. "Hahahaha..." I suddenly burst into laughter, noticing the strange looks from my roommates, I quickly smiled apologetically. Lying in bed that night, I began to feel a chill of fear; the joy of victory vanished without a trace. Come to think of it, the idea came to me in that situation when I suddenly remembered that Wei Xiaobao had done the same thing. But I wondered if the skinny guy and the lecherous guy would one turn into a blind Ren Woxing, and the other into an androgynous Dongfang Bubai! That night, I couldn't sleep... I woke up just as dawn was breaking; everyone else in the dorm was still snoring. With a few rustling sounds, I quickly got dressed and ran out of the dorm. I needed to quickly check if those two from last night had suffered any lasting damage. If they did, I couldn't afford to pay for it even if I sold myself. The classroom was already quite full. No wonder it's the city's top high school; there are so many students studying diligently. I glanced at Sophie's seat; it was empty. I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. "You're always lecturing me about studying hard, but you don't seem so great!" I thought to myself. But I knew Sophie was incredibly smart; she wasn't the type to just study blindly. I realized that since coming to high school, I hadn't studied as diligently as I had in middle school. I liked to secretly observe Sophie during class; after all, she was my first crush—no, my first crush on a girl. Lost in thought for a while, I suddenly realized Chase was already there. Seeing him made me angry. What the hell were you complaining about? A scoundrel, a typical scoundrel. If he'd been born fifty or sixty years earlier, he'd be traitor material, or at least an undercover agent. Later I found out he liked Molly. Chase's gaze darted away from me. I decided to use him as an opening. Nobody knew about my pathetic middle school days anyway; I decided to put on a show. "Chase, I'm perfectly fine. Aren't you surprised?" I stared intently at him. "A little surprised." To my disappointment, Chase wasn't afraid of me at all, his voice cold. "Damn it, you betrayed me, and you're still so self-righteous? Have you no shame?" Was it because of my successful attack last night? I found my courage had grown considerably. Any courage I'd painstakingly mustered before would have vanished in an instant. "If you don't want people to know, don't do it in the first place. You've done such a shameless thing, and you're afraid of people talking about it?" Chase readily admitted it, and my frustration was palpable. "You've heard the story of Zhou Yu and Huang Gai, right? One was willing to hit, the other was willing to be hit. What the hell are you meddling in?" His soft voice didn't seem to have much power, but I had to speak up because I wanted to be reasonable.
