Afterword to “High Power”:
Rob: On March 16th, 1985, I sat down at my typewriter…you don’t remember typewriters? maybe you can find a demo on Youtube…at my typewriter, I said, and wrote a page of notes headed “Orbital Eradication.” Said notes dealt with the mechanism of burning out crops, how it could be used in war, etc. At the top of the page, in pencil is a note: Need Title! (“High Power” was later added in ink.) At the bottom of the page is another pencil note: Need Plot! (In other words, Need Story!)
