Autumn was pacing back and forth. She hadn't heard a word from Piper since the night before, or Dalton. Telling herself that everything was fine and she was simply overreacting wasn't working. Something was wrong, she could tell. Autumn checked her phone again. Nothing. It had only been about five minutes since she last checked it, but the seconds were ticking by as if they were hours. Trying to slow her pounding heart, Autumn laid on her bedroom floor trying to slow her breathing.
