Roco’s POV
I took a quick look at Maya before parting my lips to confess. “Ouch,” I said, squeezing my face and staring at Maya who had just poked me.
“That hurts.”
“Guess what hurts more, ‘Poof’” She said, widening her eyes.
That was enough for me to remain still and keep my mouth shut. I also did not want to do anything to upset my new friend so if she didn't want me to say anything then I would say nothing.
“Kids! Please, What is going on here?” Valerie questioned, placing down a tray that held 2 plates of cookies and two glasses of milk.
“For us?” I asked in a hurry. My stomach was already rumbling just by the sight of the cookies on the plate.
“Yay. Cookies!” Maya screamed.
“Your favorite?” I asked her, placing hers on the bed where she sat. “Yes, of course, I do.”
