“I was just on a call with Valerie’s mother, but it was not for long. I can no longer reach her. I have a feeling something bad has happened,” I muttered, pacing the length of the drive through. Explained to Giddy on the call.
“This is all looking suspicious, and I do not feel comfortable about all this,” I added, my voice tighter than I had initially intended. On the other hand, Giddy didn't have much to say, and I wouldn't blame him for that.
