Twenty-Four “We should go into town today,” Seb said while he ate breakfast leaning against the galley counter. “Who’s ‘we’?” Roy asked. Seb gestured with his spoon. “The three of us.” Roy wrinkled his nose. “What, and I’d be your third wheel? No, thank you.” To be fair to Roy, since he was the only person on the ship who knew about us, he tended to get stuck watching us act like a couple. “I’d rather,” he continued, “let you two go off by yourself. I like having the room to myself. I can get Dwayne out.” I paused my dicing to look at Roy quizzically. “Who’s Dwayne?” Seb groaned, and Roy grinned. “My battery-operated boyfriend.
