I found you, finally
Letting my eyes gaze over than way to the crowded car park, I get small glimpses of a few people I knew from the last few school years. The cars were quick to fill up the reminding space, students and teacher chatting as they made their way to the main entrance
When I spotted my two friends in this school not far away, I may have used the werewolf speed to catch up with them. "Caleb what a nice way to come to us. If anyone would have caught you with werewolf abilities you would be dead my friend" Jasper scoffed under his breath. I just rolled my eyes in return, Jay was never the person who liked school or morning for that matter. He was just awful at this time of the day.
"I know, you told me that the last 11 years almost every day," I remarked. "But hey, last year buddy. In one year your gonna be out of this hell and the beta of the pack" I announced to him. I just got a scoff and a shrugged from him in return.
If we wouldn't be at the school full of humans right now, I may or may not have screamed at him for the lack of response and the clear disobedience of his soon-to-be alpha, but I can't do that here.
The problem is that our Pack, the DarkMoon Pack doesn't have enough qualified people to actually teach us everything, so we need to attend a human school with all the graduation stuff. After our Graduation, we would get the rank in the pack, from warriors to beat and so one.
"Oh Caleb, I thought you would have learned over the years that asking Jay in the mornings something or making sneaky comments brings absolutely nothing" Brett makes himself known.
I didn't answer him this time, knowing he would be right anyways, equally what I say to his comment on the situation. Opening the doors to the school's corridor I saw a lot of student rushing around, greeting and hugging there friends as well as making out by the lookers. I place I wouldn't miss after graduation.
Rounding the corner to another set of lockers, I quickly exchange some goodbyes with Jay and Brett before making my way to another set of lookers a few halls down.
Suddenly it hit me, a feminine scent. Usually, I wouldn't be surprised, this school does have some girls walking around too, but something about this scent is highly different from the others. It's sweeter, reeking of cherry's and vanilla as well as a bit of coconut in it. A weird combination.
Inside, my wolf was going crazy with the scent, it was more prominent than the other scents in the hallways. Deciding that I need to know who was the face behind this beautiful scent, I slowly leaned against a locker to wait. Ignoring the warning bell and the other student rushing around in from of me, I started at the door heading to the office. I'm pretty sure the scent is coming from there.
Ignoring the second bell which tells me that classes start, my gaze never left the door. I'm late on the first day of my final year, I don't care!
A small girl hushed out of the office, she looked almost scared the way she was walking around the corridor or maybe she is searching for something. Opening a locker directly at the opposite side of the hallway, a catch a swift of her scent. It's back, the cherry-vanilla scent I found so alluring a few minutes ago.
In my head, Rider was saying over and over again the word Mate, he screamed it at me. Losing myself in his words for a moment, he quickly took over and which a huge step was directly in from of her. Pinning her to the lookers.
Her eyes were terrified, her smaller body trembling under mine. My nose softly run up and down her neck, memorizing her scent and coating her in mine. I didn't realize that small growls left me, the girl in from of the grow even more terrified when she saw my eyes.
"Please don't hurt me. I didn't do anything. Please!" She almost cried out, her voice weak and trembling. Her eyes holding back unleashed tears. I wanted to comfort her, telling her that she has nothing to be afraid about. But no, a hand ripped me away from her, dragging me down the corridor.
I struggled in the tight grip, wanting to go back to my other half, to my mate. Outside of the building, I was pushed to the ground, looking up to the person who brought me out here, I saw Jay hovering over me and staring me in the eyes.
"What the holy hell did you think you were doing?" He almost screamed at me, his chest going up and down heavily. His eyes holding anger and surprise by my action. "How could you attack and scar that girl so much! What did she do?" He continued his small shouting.
"I wasn't attacking her." I scoffed back, slowly gaining back control but also getting angry about my soon-to-be beta. "Like hell" he spits at me with anger. "Your eyes were freaking black. BLACK! And Ryder was totally in control for a moment"
"Jay calm down!" Brett's voice echoed over the empty parking lot. "You two won't get anywhere near a solution if you insulted and scream at the other"
I scoffed. "He was the one dragging me away from my maw. He was the one- " before I could finish Jay and Brett both shouted at me. "MATE?" "The girl was your mate?" Brett was quick to add.
He may be the youngest out of us three, but he is the brain of us. Knows how to solve problems and how to avoid an argument with the other.
"Yes mate. She is my mate you idiots." I almost shouted at them, almost. "You do know that she is a human right?" Brett carefully asked me after we calmed down a bit.
" I figured that out already." I paused for a second, quickly thinking about my words. "What do we do now?"
