Dark rose
Chapter 1 an angel and a demon
I stared deep in a dark oak rimmed mirror but the person who stared back at me had coal black feathered wings and horns that curve up and a black tail that had feathers on either side she looked like me but yet didn’t, her eyes were just as black as mine with the same red pupils. “She even looks like a weirdo when she’s sleeping”,I heard in the background. I woke up to Jasper and Michael, standing in front of me. They sneered evilly into my black eyes. “What did you do”,I asked with a worried expression. “We just thought you needed a makeover.” Oh no, I thought, terrified.
I raised my hand as high as I could while using my other hand to cover my face. “What’s wrong Rose”,asked Mrs. bella. “I need to use the bathroom” I replied while still holding my arm against my forehead. I rushed to the pass and then to the bathroom, not looking back until I got this taken care of. As soon as I got into the bathroom, I saw Lucy applying her makeup. “You ok, Rose,” she said, looking at me through the mirror. “No,”I replied,“can I please murder Mikael? I asked with a bite in my voice.
“What did they do now”, she asked with a stern look, knowing I’ll lie to get her off my back. I pulled down my arm, showing that they had drawn horns on my temples and wrote "demon" in the middle. Lucy quickly grabbed her make-up remover and helped me get the sharpie off. "You should really start telling the teachers,"she nagged. "Really, they agree." You know you could just kill them," said a strange voice in my head. This isn't the first time I've heard voices in my head. "Maybe I am a demon,"I whispered.
"Don't say that,"Lucy said in a low but shaky voice. "You're one of the nicest people I know," Lucy said with a small smile. Lucy was the only real friend I've ever had because most people are uncomfortable with my eyes, and she's never complained or stared without a reason. I felt a breeze as a long-haired blonde boy walked past me as I was locked with a pair of gorgeous hazel eyes. He sneered at me and whispered,"Found her,"then walked away. "Yay, new jerk," I said sarcastically. “You have to admit, he is handsome,”Lucy said.
Later that day, I decided to confront him and ask him to leave me alone.
I leaned against the locker next to his as I said,“Hi, are you new? I don’t think we formally met.” “And I don’t want to, Rose.”After he said that, I took a quick step back with fear in my eyes. “H-how did you know my name,”I said with a shaky voice. “I know a lot about you,” he said while walking towards me and cornering me to the lockers. “How you’ve been bullied since before you could walk, that your mom hates you because you were the product of a r**e, and that since as long as you can remember you’ve always had a voice in your head always telling you to do the most evil thing it can think of. Someday you’ll lose it, and I’ll be waiting… with a knife.
Yep, yep, yep I’m outta here. Swooped under his arm then I backed up about 2 steps then turned around and ran as fast as I could trying to get to the bus, looking back every now and then to make sure he didn’t follow me. I was never happier to see the collar yellow.
“What’s wrong, Rose,”Lucy asked in a worried tone; I didn’t realize how hard I was breathing until now. “I-I’m fine,”I lied. “Rose,”Lucy said sternly. “Th-the new kid threatened me, and I’m really worried,”I said. “Oh Rose,”Lucy said with a frown,“don’t worry if he wants to hurt you; he has to get through me.” I hugged her as tight as I could, tears building up in my black eyes. I never wanted to let go again; Lucy was the closest thing I have to a real family, the only person who cares the reason I’m still breathing.
“How about you stay the night at my house,”Lucy said. “I’ll ask my mom,”I told her with a small half smile. I picked up my flip phone and dialed in my mom's number. “Hey mom, can I spend the night at Lucy’s?,”I asked. “Anything to get out of my hair,” my mom said grumply,“sure.” “Thank you,” I said in a sad voice as I hung up. “What’s wrong,”Lucy asked; “She said I could go just not kindly,”I told her,“you know the usual.”
When we got to Lucy's house, I could feel a cold breeze as white diamonds fluttered down. Wow, finally snow, I thought with a spark of joy as I let the sparkly white crystals fall on my hand. As I smiled, I saw the new boy smile at me but not a toxic smile like before, just a smile. I judge way too quickly, I thought. I smiled back at him, hoping maybe he was different. Maybe I had missed her, but then his face turned hard again, and I could feel his hatred of me. I frowned and then walked away, and he followed suit.
Aziz pov
She's a demon, I thought as I walked away, no matter how human she seems, but she is pretty, ugh, stop liking her Aziz. Don't get attached as soon as she grows horns. I have to take her down. I sprouted out my wings and lifted myself into the sky
