Chapter 1: A Perfect Beginning

It's been two years since David and Maine got married. Now, they are considered successful business owners in their area in the Philippines. David came from an extremely poor family. After his parents died, he worked tirelessly to support himself until he met Maine.

Maine, on the other hand, came from a wealthy family. However, due to her father's affair, he neglected Maine and her family, focusing all his attention on his new wife. This led to the downfall of their business. Maine was forced to live with her uncle, Don Martaugh Gran, a well-known politician and business executive. Under his care, Maine continued her studies and eventually met David.

David was not accepted by Maine's family because they believed he had nothing to offer and would never rise above his poverty. Despite this, David never gave up. He won Maine’s heart, and eventually, they reached the point where they got married and began building their own family.

After David and Maine’s wedding, they immediately started a business and rented a space in a mall. Maine and David worked hard, but eventually, the business went bankrupt. During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, when David lost his job, the couple decided to start a business again, but it was different this time. Currently, their business has become successful and continues to grow. However, their concern is that they don’t still have children and worry that they might not be able to have any due to their age, and Maine is also gaining weight.
