DAINE POV As I stand at the door peeking,I saw her stabbing him continuously even after he died She notices me from the corner of her eyes then makes a sharp turn towards my direction,my feet feels numb, I can't run,I am scared “Come here” she says I walked into the dark room with trembling feet,she drops the knife and stretches forth her hands towards me “My dear why are you scared, come to mother” I was so scared but like my feet has a mind of its own, I kept walking towards her and each step my chest kept pounding harder like it was going to jump out “Yes mum” i stared at her from head to toe noticing her standing in the pool of blood “Why are you trembling?”she asked “You... You killed dad”i murmured Her eyes glowed red and then she smiles “Not killed,I relieved him of his pain”s he took a hold of my hands and pets my blonde hair “Daine my darling, daddy didn't die, always remember this when someone is in pain the best cure for that pain is to relieve them and the only way is to kill them.. Death is the best cure” she smiles All I could do was nod “Good girl” Mother pets my head as she walks out of the dark room,her gown trailing with blood as she walks out of the room I stared at dad's dead body laying on the ground,I turned towards the door as I noticed my mum staring at me with her glowing red eyes “Don't you dare cry, pain makes us weak” she says in a sharp tone then her eyes returns to it usual color as she smiles, then it turned to laughter I just couldn't move as I watch my dead father and my lunatic mother laughing «»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»« TWO YEARS AFTER DAD'S DEATH "Daine," Mother calls out my name I walked towards her ”Yes mother“ ”Do you see this Phoenix with a broken wing" she points at the weak yellow-red bird on the floor ”Yes mother" i stared into her golden eyes ”What should you do to it?" she asks ”Help it by... taking care...of it" i whispered ”You always disappoint me Daine" Her eyes began to glow red again "Sorry mother" i looked down at the ground since I couldn't make eye contact with her "Take this knife and stab it to death reliving it of it's pain" she hands over to me a table knife "Mum ... Mother I don't think I can do that... I can't stab it" i stared at the knife "No problem,I'll teach how to kill it,you're not doing anything bad you're helping it... The poor bird is in so much pain right now but if you kill it,it won't feel pain ever ever again!!!" Her eyes glows in red as she hands over the knife to me again I collected it as I went on my knees,my hands kept shaking,I tried so hard and I stabbed it, I could feel as the knife penetrates the bird's inner part,I could feel as it heart stopped "How does it feel?" my mum asks "I feel a slight of pleasure Mother" i smiled "Yes that's the thing, taking a life is helping a life and still that's your job as the Goddess of Darkness“ I stood up as my mother pets my head "This is just the beginning" she whispers As she walks away and then I noticed her legs are gone "Mum where are your legs" i asked with curious eyes "Do you really want to know"she looked at me sternly "Ehmm No,not at all mother" i ran to my room in the dark castle I can home This place is getting worse but today is actually one of the best days after dad's death,I love that feeling, the feeling of taking a soul,it's tingling yet delicious like I could feel the soul leaving and entering mine, as I felt the Phoenix bird becoming empty and dark inside,the sound of emptiness as it's heart stops beating,all that feeling I WANT MORE!!!,I walked towards my mirror As I realized my eye color has changed it's "BLACK mixed with a bit of red!!!" I screamed till the mirror broke into pieces "Why are my eyes black,nobody has black eyes in our world,we.. we only have golden or others but why BLACK, As mother walked into my room "What is it“she said "My eyes are black" "I know,the prophecies are true... You really are the Goddess of darkness" "What???" "did you just say What to me?" she asked sharply "No,I'm sorry mother"i bowed my head "You must be feeling proud,don't you?, for years and years I've practiced and wanted to be the Goddess of darkness but why would a pesky little brat like you be the Goddess of Darkness" "I don't understand mother" i began to feel fear Mother walked closer and closer to me as I took each of her steps backwards "Your eyes are black you should be happy my dear daughter" she smiles at me but her eyes glows red I feel so terrified,she just called me pesky little brat and now she's saying her dear daughter "Listen up Daine,you are the Goddess of darkness and you just killed something for the first time but your powers aren't awoken yet" she smirks My mother doesn't feel like my mother,why is my childhood so confusing, sometimes it's like she's another person "What if I don't want to be the Goddess of darkness" I said "Don't worry,I also don't want you to be the Goddess of darkness" You're nothing but a pot of mine
