Chapter Two

1061 Words
Emily was so lively and chatty, that meant we would be very good friends but as much as I love being chatty too, Emily was on another level, on our way to my room, she kept talking and by the time we reached there I thought she had finished telling me her whole life story. She was talking about a friend she had since kindergarten and how much fun they had together until her friend recently moved to another country and now that I'm here we could be the best of friends. "This is your room." she said opening the door to the room, it was as large as my room back home and I wondered how their guest rooms could be so big. I walked into the room with Emily in tow "I will leave you to rest, dinner will be ready at 7." She says giving me a smile before she turned around and left, I thought she wasn't going to leave. I looked around at the room, it had a large king sized bed covered with nude coloured bedsheets and duvets which matched the painting on the walls, the were two bedside drawers along with a desk and book shelf but my suitcases were nowhere in sight. There were large windows and two doors in the room, I walk to one of the doors and open it to find the bathroom, I open the other one and see that it is the walk in closet, I walk in to find all my stuff has been neatly arranged, I walk back to the room and lay on the bed to have the rest I never had in the beginning . I lay there thinking of how my life was going to be living in this house, the family seemed really nice, expect for that rude guy, I couldn't stop thinking about his rude behaviour, and what did he mean when he said I wouldn't be staying that long? My phone rings from the pocket of my pants and I pull it out to see a call from my one and only friend Molly, I answer the call and press the phone to my ear, we talked for a long time before we finished talking and cut the call. I check the time and it is almost time for dinner so I get up and enter the bathroom to freshen up then decided to change my clothes into a simple green dress and brush my brown hair. I walked out and realised Emily was so busy chatting me away I wasn't concentrating on where we were going and now I don't know which part of the house I'm in and which way I'm supposed to head to the dining room. I walked around aimlessly trying to remember where walked to, I opened a door to my right to see another hall with a set of doors, but another one of the doors stood out, it was bigger than the other doors, maybe it would lead to another hall I thought as I went for it. The door opened before I could open it and there in front of me stood a man, he looked at me and sighed "What are you doing here?" he asks me coming out and closing the door behind him "I'm supposed to head to the dining room but I'm lost." I tell him "Follow me." "Okay." he says and walks ahead, he opens a door and we enter another long corridor and at at the end of the corridor was the stairs. The man kept mum as we headed for the stairs so I decided to introduce myself "Hey my name is Lillian I'm new here." "I know." he replied briskly and kept walking not bothering to turn around. I huff, why are the guys here rude, this one was less rude than the other guy but still, maybe he is the William Sarah was talking about We reach the living room and walked to the right and there was the dining room, everyone was there including rude guy number one talking to Sarah and Max, everyone turns as I walk in with the guy I don't know his name. "James, you and Lillian have met?" Sarah says as she spots us "Yeah I met her lost and wondering around and decided to help her." The man called James says with a pleasant voice turning to look at me with a smile on his face and I raise a brow at him. Seriously? "Oh! so this is the wonderful Lillian everyone's been talking about." rude guy no. 1 says as he walks towards me with a huge smile on his face you could see his teeth showing "Hi Lillian, my name is William, it is nice to finally meet you, my sister couldn't stop talking about you." He says extending his hand for me to shake, I stood there dumbfounded, wondering, isn't this the guy I met on the porch? Is this the guy's twin? Am I staring at another person, or is the guy some kind of mental? I kept staring at the guy confused as if I would find the answer on his face. "Uhm its okay, since you don't want to shake my hand." he said sounding like I was being rude and left to sit at the table. Emily comes to my side and waved a hand at my face giggling, I look at her and she is smirking at me, she pulls me to the dining table. As we sit on the table, I realise everyone else has changed into something else and I'm glad I also did. Emily was dressed in a blue dress which looked good on her, her brown hair was tied in a pony tail, all of them had brown hair and different shades of brown or green eyes except the guy called James, his hair was black and be had grey eyes. Max sat at the head of the table with Sarah and William to his right and left respectively, James was sitting beside William and Emily and I sat across from the with Emily beside her mother. Soon after the maids finished serving us and we quietly finished eating, Max decided it was a good idea to head to the living room and chat.
