The next phase

Back home , little pretty wondered why many people choose to destroy their life with their own hands. She was busy with her thoughts as her mind reflection what had happened all through out the day. She felt like leaving school quickly so she could be free from the challenges she was going through. “Little pretty, how was school” asked her mum who was busy preparing her self for a big party.

“Mum, school was just as usual as it was” said little pretty who was fade up of the up and down in school. “Well you just have to be patience in two weeks you would be writing your certificate exam to the university” said her mum smiling knowing her daughter would soon be out of school.“I have been looking up to that for so long” said little pretty as she got to the dining room to have dinner.

“I guess you must be hungry” said her mum who watched her sprint down to the dinning room. “You just got it right mum” said little pretty as she bought out a tray of fried rice and assorted beef with sweet potatoes which was also fried. “Mum, this is good” said little pretty as she stated eating her food without wasting much of her time. “That is why am the best mum in the world” said her mum who was still in preparation for the party.

“You really know so” said little pretty as she continued with her food which was so enticing. “little pretty please tell your sisters that I’m off to a party” said her mum as she put on her high heels. “Mum, what about dad?” asked little pretty surprised that her mum didn’t ask her to tell her dad. “He sure knows where I’m off to” said her mum as she hurried with her earing and necklace. “Okay that fine” said little pretty as she continued with her food which made her hungry the more.

“Don’t I look good in this”. Asked her mum as she turned round so she could see how she looks. “That perfect” said little pretty who watched her mum turned and to show her beauty. “Think I should be on my way” said her mum as she rushed to kiss pretty on the fore head. “Mum, why are you such in a hurry?” asked little pretty who watched her mother raced out of the house quickly.

Soon both her dad and her second sister camein, it was such a coincidence, her sister was were in the university. “Hi dad” greeted little pretty who was still struggling to finish her food which was so enticing. “Hi, how was your day?” asked her dad who quickly put down his brief case and sat on the living room cushion. “Fine but had its down, whats up” said little pretty as she turned to her sister. “ I met dad on my way home so we boarded the same taxi” said her sister as soon as she dropped her bag. “Dad is that right?” asked little pretty surprised knowing it was a coincidence they met on the way.

“Yes it right” said her dad as soon as he went upstairs to freshen up himself. “I wonder why you would doubt me” said her sister who also took her bag and went upstairs to freshen up herself.

Not too long after her first sister who was now a clerk entered excitedly. “What is it?” asked little pretty who was now doing her assignments and was done with her food. “My boss just proposed to me” shouted the clerk, as she danced showing off the engagement ring. “I guess he is just doing this to get your attraction” said little pretty as she saw the expensive ring. “Why did you say so?” asked the clerk who seemed down by the reaction of little pretty. “Because you once told me that he said he wanted to have s*x with you and now he wants to get engaged with you” said little pretty. “Well I don’t have time for your talk, besides where is dad and mum” asked the clerk.

“Precisely what I wanted to ask, where is your mum” asked her dad as she walk down stairs. “Mum said she was off for a party and that you already know that” said little pretty smiling as she continued her assignment. "Oh I remembered she asked me to let her off for the day” said her dad as he sat down on a chair. “Dad, I’m getting married soon, my boss just proposed to me and said he would be come in the evening” said the clerk. “That such good news, I hope you have prepared for his coming” said her dad smiling happily. “Of course dad, there is a bottle of wine already, I am sure he won’t want to eat” said the clerk.

“You didn’t tell me all this” said little pretty who was in quick shock to the new development. “That because you were quick to judge me” said the clerk who was about to leave the living room. “Please is there food at home” said the second daughter as she walked down stairs signifying how hungry she was. “Of course there is, mum already prepared food before going” said little pretty smiling a she continued with her assignment.

“That reminds me, where is mum? I haven’t seen her since I came” said the second daughter anxiously as she got to the dining room . “She went for a party” said little pretty smiling as everyone came almost in time before half past six. “Dad is that true” asked the second daughter as she turned to her dad who was in the living room. “Yes, she asked me to let her off for the day” said her dad as he cross his legs to know what was next. “I guess I have to go serve my self anyone care for having dinner asked the second daughter. “I don’t I have already eaten at work” said the clerk as she also sat down in the living room. “Then what about dad” asked the second daughter expecting a big yes, for she hated eating alone. “No, I have to first read the newspapers, have the punchman came” asked her dad. “No, I thought you went to get them yourself” said little pretty as she was done with her assignment.

“Where are you going to?” asked the second daughter anxiously as she watched her going straight up stairs. “Upstairs to my room, I would love to read silently” said littler pretty as she walked upstairs. “Then I guess I would have to eat alone” said the second daughter as she went into the kitchen and came out all most at once. She table for herself and started eating, she loves eating mostly with someone but this she had no choice.

Not too long after the bell rang, it was someone who was knocking at the door, it so sounded that got everyone conscious of the door. “Let me go get the door” said the clerk as she went to open the door and to her surprise it was her boss. “Hi sir” said the clerk greeting as she allowed him into the house and he was surprised to see the whole family.

“Good evening, I heard about your engagement to my daughter. I respect your decision but what I would have to say is if you eventually hurt my daughter” said her dad smiling happily. “I understand you sir, it won’t be the case of our relationship.” Said the boss before he was interrupted. “would you like to have dinner or what can I offer you” asked the clerk as she needed to entertain her guest. “A glass of wine please” said the boss as he turned to the clerk and smiled a little at her beauty. She immediately rushed to the kitchen to get the bottle of wine and two glass of wine and ran straight back to the living room.

“I can to you that I would be getting married to her by next month, my lawyer is also aware of it so all we would do is to go to the registry and the we are married” said the boss smiling. “that would be great” said her dad, also smiling as he took a glass of wine. “I think I would be leaving right now” said the boss as he drank the whole wine in the glass.

“So soon” said her dad with a surprise look for the boss not spending up to a few minutes before taking his leave. “Sir, I just come because of what I wanted to inform you about. Noting much” said the boss as he stood up. “Well you did well not all responsible people like you are easy to come by” said her dad. “Thank you sir” said the boss as he hurried to leave. “Let me accompany him” said the clerk as she followed him out of the house and closed the door behind him.Soon as the door was locked someone knocked at it again as it also got everyone in alert. “I guess it should be mum” said the clerk as she went to open the door once again but to her surprise it was the vendor men. “Madam is your father around” asked the vendor men holding some newly printed newspapers in his hands. “Yes he is please come in” said the clerk as she opened the door for the vendor man to come in quickly. “I have the newspaper already” said the vendor man as he gave the newspapers to pretty dad who collected them. “It took you so long” said pretty dad as he glance through the newspaper which was given to him. “I got late due to hectic journey” said the vendor man as he quickly left the house as he got to the end of the entrance door. “Thanks” said the clerk as she closed the entrance door before she gets mad at her anger which was already getting to much to handle.

“I have to go have a nap upstairs” said the second daughter as she walked up the stairs. “This looks serious” said their father who stared reading his newspapers as if it was his first time he would do so. “I better go upstairs” said the clerk as she walked straight towards the stairs. “Please make sure you prepare my food” said her dad who dropped the newspapers. “I thought you said you weren’t eating until you were done with the papers” side the clerk. “I change my mind besides I am getting hungry” said their dad who was trying to pull of his suit.“Okay I will go do that now” said the clerk who left what she was doing and walked to the kitchen. Few moment she was done with preparing the meal, she shouted her dad to come over to the dining room. She left him with the food as she went upstairs to her room. Her dad wasted no much time, he really enjoined the food.
