23 DEAD GANGSTERS Wilder stood looking down at the dead gangster in the dirt and wondered what it meant. He had known this one. Knew he was high up in the pecking order of the Watney Street g**g. Realised this was the sort of murder that could only be executed by somebody with experience. A professional, an ex-soldier perhaps, he mused. Stop it! He halted that train of thought dead in its tracks. There were many capable of taking a life in his territory. But murder was a crime motivated by love or greed.
