First Love

(Based on a true story) Allie, a young girl who had fallen in love with her best friend George, had her heart broken by the one she wanted to marry someday. George was Allie's best friend. They'd known each other for years, a decade at least. Allie fell in love with George's confidence and enthusiasm. She admired him greatly. They spent time together often. She was hoping he had felt the same way for her. But unfortunately, things didn't go the way she had dreamed. Allie would lie down and dream of a golden ballroom, just the two of them, dancing to retro love songs. She would cry tears of joy because of how much love she had felt in her heart for him. Allie was only 10 at the time, but she believed in true love, and she acted quite mature, she felt grown enough to know what she wanted. About four years later, Allie finally gained the courage to tell George how she felt. George told Allie he saw her as a sister... She felt broken. She cried and cried the whole night, and for days, even years later, she still cries. She still, a decade later, has yet to feel that love for anyone else. Allie chose to move on, but George will forever remain in her heart.
