NEXT DAY
Fall is in full effect, and I have to say it’s my favorite season. The weather is prefect for baking and wearing comfy warm clothes. The holidays always bring parties and gatherings. Penelope, Frances and I are sitting at the back of the school bus discussing the fall dance the school is having this Friday night. At the moment, no one has asked either of us to go and we are planning on going together.
I’m not even sure my dad would let me go on a date, we’ve never discussed it. “Why are they having an assembly first thing in the morning?” Penelope says, already annoyed. She doesn’t like changes in her routine. “Rules for the fall dance.” Frances says plainly. She is very involved in the school functions and volunteers for everything.
