"Why wait for me when you can just convince me to stay?" my voice trembled a little as I engaged in a monologue.

My heart was in a mess and my thoughts were incoherent. At that point, I didn't know what I wanted. Did I want to stay behind? Was I ready to forget my journey to the human land? Was I ready to forgive Jasper and start afresh with him?
