Rachel's POV. "Hey Rachel. Two beers and one whiskey." Satisha yelled over the noise and incoherent chatter of drinkers in the bar and I nodded moving over to the bar area to get the order from Pecos. "I'm surprised your boyfriend isn't here today." Pecos grinned at me and my cheeks flushed from embarrassment. "Shut up. He's not my boyfriend," I said as he poured the drinks and put them on my tray. "So, why are you blushing?" He jested and I grabbed the drinks walking away from the bar. I heard his chuckles which made my lips curve into a smile. It was the rush hour but it was bit early than the usual rush hour on other days since it was a Monday night so we got to close early. I took more orders and had to ward off some drunk perverts looking for quick lay. It is one thing to sleep with a man with no attraction between you but it is another to sleep with a drunk with no attraction and having to deal with his stench of liquor all over you. That's the worst. Finally after what felt like years but it had been only a few hours, the last drinker left and we all proceeded to wipe down the tables and tidy up the bar before closing. We always cleaned in few minutes and afterward, everyone began to grab their things to leave after saying they goodbye. "Bye Pecos. See you tomorrow," I called out to him as he exited the bar. "Bye honey. See you," he replied blowing me a kiss making me chuckle. "Rachel I have to go somewhere right now. You have to lock up the bar and I'll see you tomorrow!" Brent said hurriedly and exited the bar before I could say Jack. I nodded slowly till I realized I was the only one left in the bar with no ride home. I went to the break room to grab my phone and I hit auto-dial. My dad popped up and I hit the dial icon.It rang before going to voicemail. I called him again and again but it kept going to voicemail. I left him a couple of voice notes and text messages. Dread slowly creeped in after a few minutes of no reply. I grabbed my purse and the keys to the bar from Brent's office and proceeded to turn off all the lights. I locked up the bar and decided to walk the distance home till my dad returned my calls or I came across a good Samaritan. The night was chilly and cold and I drew my thin scarf tighter around my body but it did little to help my situation. I started to hear different animal sounds or maybe it was just in my head but it scared the s**t out of me. I just kept on walking as I had no other choice. It was weird that Brent took off in a hurry leaving me behind. He was never in a hurry and always made sure he locked up himself. I couldn’t blame him though, maybe he had a family emergency. My mind wandered off to the previous day after finding out that Drew and Brent were brothers. Pecos also confirmed the news to me and I gave him an earful for not telling me earlier but he thought I would've heard from my dad. To say I was surprised is an understatement. Not in my wildest fantasies would I have pictured them related. Their physical appearances and their personalities are completely polar opposites. I mean, Drew was a white male while Brent was a Bi-racial man. Drew had long hair and piercings while Brent had short hair. Brent was calm and caring while Drew was well... cocky and a prideful pervert. I heard the revving of a motorcycle engine coming closer and fear clutched at my heart and squeezed it. I stopped in my tracks hoping the cycler didn’t see me and just rides by but when his full headlights illumined me, it made it impossible to blend into the darkness. The cycler slowed down and came to a halt in front of me reducing his bright lights to a dim glow and that was when I saw him. "Get on." Drew ordered after stopping in front of me. "Why should I go with you?" I scoffed at him coupled with an eye roll. "I said Get on." He repeated in a demanding tone which irked me further. "I don't want to. So get lost!" My voice rose a bit but then he deserved it. And then he started laughing. Really hard. "What’s funny? Do I look like I'm joking?" I questioned, more pissed that he thought I was a joke. "No no! Its not you... I just remembered the wolves we killed in the bushes not too far from here. In fact just down this road. Oh oh! And the snake Bear saw slithering across the road few days back." He says still laughing oblivious to the look of total horror on my face. "R-rea-lly?" I stuttered with fear. "Well since you don't need my help I'll just ride on. I hope you get home safe." He said and turned on the full headlights revving the engine, prepared to drive off. "Wait!" I screamed and he stopped and looked at me. "No need to scream. I'm still in front of you." He said sarcastically and I felt the urge to roll my eyes but decided against it. "C-could y-you ta-ke me h-home?" I begged shamefully. "Yes I could do that." He said and I smiled in relief and proceeded to thank him when he added... "...But then you owe me. I'm a lender so I'll be biased if I help you for free. You'll have to pay me back and I'll decide what the payment would be." He smirked and I knew I was walking into the lion's territory but I had no choice now as I really needed his help. "O-okay." I agreed to his terms and he moved forward on his bike creating space for me. I got on and he handed me his helmet to use. "Wrap your hands tight around my stomach and hold on. I wouldn't want you falling off and breaking your pretty neck before settling my debt." He jested and I scoffed wrapping my hands around his stomach with my front pressed again his back. His body heat radiated off him and warmed me up in no time as he rode off to my house. The breeze whizzed past my ears at the speed of his motorbike and it elicited an adrenaline rush from me at the supposed danger of motorbike rides. It was dangerously exciting. He slowed down and smoothly branched off the road onto the dirt path that led to my house. Few seconds later, he came to a halt in front of my house. I got off and handed him his helmet. "Thanks for the ride." I smiled and turned to head into the house when he stopped me. "Not so fast love. You still owe me and I'd like to collect it now." He said turning off his bike and getting off. "Okay. How much do I owe you?" I said fishing out some wads from my bag to settle my bill but his reply freezed my action. "Oh no no... I don't want money, especially not from you. I have a lot of that already." He started. "A kiss is my pay." He demanded and dread filled every hole in my body. "No that isn't part of it." I said in horror but he laughed. "Anything is part of it my love. Me deciding what the pay would be was the agreement." He said stalking closer to me and I moved back until I was backed against the wooden railings of the front porch. "Don't be a coward now Miss Rachel. You agreed to my terms knowing fully well I could demand anything from you." He whispered but I heard clearly as his face was just hairs breath away from mine. "O-okay I'll do it." I swallowed and nodded, willing myself to remain calm and in control even though I was a hot mess inside. He brought his face even closer to mine and my eyes closed on its own accord. Our lips met and I just stood as still as a statue waiting for him to take the lead or retreat but he doesn't stop. He moved his lips on mine using his tongue to probe mine for entrance and it was a weird feeling but I didn’t cower instead I gave in to his needs, letting him do whatever he wanted. After a few seconds he pulled back breaking contact but not the distance. I opened my eyes slowly forcing it to focus but everything was just a blur. I felt like putty with so many emotions running through me. "Give this a chance. Give us a chance." He whispered in a desperate tone. For a brief second the word ‘yes’ was on the tip of my tongue. "No." I declined even though I meant the complete opposite. "Okay. But that doesn't mean I'm giving up. I'll keep popping up till you give in." He smiled softly and stroked my cheek tenderly. "Goodnight, my love." He planted one last kiss on my lips, got on his bike and zoomed off leaving me rooted to the spot. I knew what I was getting into by agreeing to his free ride. I could've refused his request but I didn't. Did I really kiss him to avoid being a coward or did I do it because its what I wanted? I guess I knew the answer. And if it was that I was screwed. Drew's POV. I rolled on the bed trying to ease my discomfort but the friction only made it worse. I'd tried it all; from cold showers to hand jobs to whatever but nothing seemed to work. I thought kissing her would soothe my burning desire for her but it seemed I was totally mistaken. If anything, it seemed to fuel it further. I found out a lot of details just from that one kiss with Rachel which made my head scream at me to turn the other way and run as fast as I could but I chose to go with my heart. I was an all time lover of challenges and Rachel was an embodiment of challenges. She was inexperienced and willing to explore but her tenaciousness and belligerent behaviour added more blocks to her already high wall. I told her I'd pop up wherever she was and that was what I did but truth be told it was the hardest s**t ever. Seeing her everyday and not being able to do anything coupled with having to deal with her feistiness was slowly driving me nuts. I felt like a ticking time bomb that could explode one day as I was a very impatient man. I got up from my bed feeling frustrated as ever from my raging hard-on and lack of sleep. I grabbed the first pair of sweats I could find before going into the bathroom to brush my teeth. I left my bedroom and went down the stairs, walking into the kitchen to find Matron already up and working. "Morning Geneva," I sighed after greeting her. I went over to the fridge and grabbed two bottles of water. "Morning baby boy." She replied as she wiped down the kitchen counter. "What has you looking so down… Is it Rachel?" She added. "How the hell do you know about Rachel?" I asked with a quirked brow. "Don't get yourself all worked up. Maya told me and she heard from school." She replied. "Even great. It got to Maya's middle school already." I said sarcastically feeling exasperated that the news was spreading across town like an untamed wildfire when nothing was going on between us… At least, not yet. She chuckled and my forehead creased in confusion. "What's so funny?" I asked. "Then make her yours so the rumors can be true. Its a surprise you haven't done that already. I guess she's a feisty one." I didn’t bother replying her. I exited the kitchen with the second water bottle in hand. I could still hear her chuckles and I didn’t get what was amusing in all of it. I went to the gym room in the basement and flipped the on switch for the lights. The room lit up and I walked over to the wardrobe to grab my padded boxing gloves and a clean towel. I set the water and the towel on the floor and put on the gloves. I turned to the punching bag in the centre of the room. I held it in place and began delivering punches and kicks simultaneously at it. I felt the tension slowly leaving my body but I didn’t stop. I kept on hitting and hitting the bag till it flew off from the chain fastening it to the ceiling, to the side of the room. "Damn bro!" Hayden said and I looked behind me to see him push off the wall and walk towards me. I grabbed the bottle of water and twisted the cap, draining its content in one swig. "How long were you standing there? And what are you doing here? You have no business here,” I asked him. "I was here long enough to see the bag fly off the wall and Javier sent me to get him a new gym bag. I guess his is bad." He handed me the towel from the floor and I mopped up the sweat dripping from my body. I took off the gloves and handed them to Hayden before leaving the room. I went back to my room for a quick shower. I tossed my sweaty cloth into the hamper and walked into the shower. I turned on the knob for the hot water and it took a few seconds for the water to heat up. I soaped up my body and rinsed off the suds before stepping out when I felt clean. I applied deodorant, body spray and lotion. I put on boxers then jeans and a black T-shirt. I threw on my bikers jacket and combed my wet hair back. I sprayed cologne onto my body before grabbing my phone from the charging pad and leaving the room. "Morning Drew." Javier and Brent greeted as I stepped into the kitchen and I nodded before taking my place at the head of the table; where my dad used to sit. "Brent does Rachel work Saturdays?" I asked him and he looked up from his food at me. "No she has the weekends off. Why?" He asked and I shrugged. "Nothing. I just wanted to know." I replied as Geneva set a plate of toast, bacon and scrambled eggs in front of me. I thanked her and she smiled, rubbing my head. "You're welcome baby boy." She said. "I'm well over thirty but you still call me baby boy while Hayden gets to be called handsome young man." I complained. "Drew, are you jealous of your brother?" Matron rolled her eyes as she went back to the sink. Brent and Hayden laughed and I flipped them off. "She calls you baby boy so you don't feel old and she calls Hayden a man to make him feel like a grown-up. You know she loves us all equally." Javier explained. "I knew that." I scoffed and he smirked but doesn't say anything further. "Oh I forgot to ask… How did it go with Rachel?" Brent asked me and I sighed. "It started out okay… but she said no." I said and Brent frowned. We all finished the remainder of our breakfast in silence before we all grabbed our bags heading to our various destinations. "Javier wait! I'm riding with you. Drew is in a shitty pissy attitude. He hit the punching bag till it flew off the chain." Hayden shouted and Brent snickered. "Whatever. I wasn't even planning on taking the car today." I scoffed and grabbed my helmet and keys before leaving the house. They all shouted their goodbyes. I put on my helmet and inhaled deeply. I could still perceive the faint smell of coconut from her hair even though its been a few days. I think I'm crazy. I got on my bike and put the key in. I revved the engine and my baby roared to life making me smile. I manoeuvred the bike smoothly onto the road and rode off en route the lounge. ♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦ "Hey." I said, standing beside Rachel as she took an inventory of drinks in the bar. "What do you want?" She retorted. "You." I grinned at her. "Nice one. Try again." She scoffed and moved over to the whiskey section counting and writing s**t down. "I'm serious. I want one date." I said and she turned to me. "Well, I remember clearly well I already paid my debt so I don't owe you anything." She sneered pushing me out of the way and leaving the bar area. I followed her as she went to the basement trying to keep up with her but still behind her to get a good view of her ass as she walked. "Keep staring at my butt and I'll kick you in the groin." She commented without looking back and I cleared my throat and moved over to her side. "I know you don't owe me. I'm just asking you out on one date. s**t! why are you making this so hard!" I rubbed my hands on my face starting to get frustrated. "Well I don't want to go. You can't make me do the things you want. You already did once and I wouldn't let you control my actions again." She entered the basement and I smirked and backed her into a corner. "W-what a-are you d-doing?" She stuttered trying to push me back but I kept her pinned to the wall. "Did I really make you kiss me or it was what you wanted? I know the answer though and you can keep denying it but I know you feel it too." I said bringing my face closer to hers and I saw her eyes close. Then I… turned on the lights and moved back. She opened her eyes and I burst into laughter clutching my stomach. "Jerk." She kicked me and pushed me back. I let her push me though. "So what do you say?" You go out with me or I cause more trouble for your dad." I said knowing fully well it was not the best approach but I was a desperate man. "Are you blackmailing me now?" She said ready to fight and I chuckled. "Calm down love. I wouldn't do anything like that. Just go out on one date with me." "One date and you would leave me alone?" She asked turning to face me. "One date and I would leave you alone." I promised her and she stretched her hand forward. "Deal." She said waiting for a handshake but I pushed her hand out of the way and gave her a hug. "Deal. But I bet after that date, it is you who wouldn't want me to leave." I whispered in her ear knowing fully well what it does to her. As usual, slight shivers run up her body making me smirk. I exited the basement leaving her to continue with her work. 'We'll see how much longer she can fight this.' I thought to myself.
