Chapter 40 Raining
Kaya's POV In an instant, I can feel my heart clenching as it breaks at that sight of her arms wrapped around him as they kiss, connecting in a way that I thought was only for us. But there was a part of me that knew there would be a good possibility that he would choose her, even a strong possibility. But I was hoping I would be able to avoid seeing it if possible. I know that would be impossible to completely avoid altogether, that is just unrealistic. I also know that I should have stayed in my hut and avoiding this ceremony, but I was hoping just to see him one last time without her wrapped around him as if she is his cloth to cover his body.
