The house on Waterford street

Every afternoon ale would manage to collect her allowance from doing chores around the house from her grandma. She would then go to the corner store to buy cat food and feed this one cat who she managed to sneak into her grandmas pop up camper they would use every summer to go to the camping grounds . Although ales mother did reside in the family home she was very much not involved with ale a partial issue with that was because ale was a spitting imagine of her father to ales mother looking at her daughter reminded her of a abusive marriage . As time passes ales mother would be home less & less and eventually not at all .Nevertheless ales grandmother ms wright would fill in the gaps where ales mother Eliza failed . Ale never lacked from love as long as her grandma was around Mrs Wright made sure of that . Ales father Vincent was in & out of her life at times ale did wonder what it would be like at times to have a mom & dad .those thoughts would fade in & out throughout the summer as most of ales friends had both parents . On one evening she recalled sleeping over a friend Megan’s house and over heard Megan’s parents speaking about her mother . Now ale being the curious kid who liked to hide & feed the neighbor strays poked her head into the hall to get a better listen . “ you know I can’t understand why Ms Wright doesn’t just kick eliza out ? She can’t seem to manage to pull it together for ale out with different men not bothering with her own child what a shame “ ales eyes began to water as she ran out of the door back to her grandmothers . Ms wright asked ale what’s wrong ? Ale asked her grandmother why doesn’t my mother want me ? At that moment ma wright eyes began to water & voice cracked .grandma so it is true ale asked ?! Ale look sometimes people can love they’re children but not be ready to be a mother but in my eyes your my daughter I love you as much as a mother can . Ale leaned in to hug her grandmother with a empty void unable to be filled & instead replaced with many other questions she had for her mother . She went to sleep for the first in her 9 years of living with her first broken heart .
