Audrey’s POV
The sun was high in the sky when I stepped onto the training grounds.
The pack had gathered. Some whispered, some stared, but everyone was watching.
Lena was already there, standing in the center of the clearing, stretching like this was just another warm-up. She smirked when she saw me.
"Glad you showed up," she said.
I rolled my shoulders. "I wouldn’t miss it."
Luke stood off to the side, arms crossed, his expression unreadable.
Mira and Aiden were nearby too, their faces tense.
The pack’s second-in-command, an older wolf named Darius, stepped forward. "This is a formal challenge," he announced. "Strength. Skill. No killing."
Lena smiled sweetly. "Of course."
I didn’t believe her for a second.
Darius glanced between us. "You both understand the rules?"
I nodded.
