Audrey’s POV I walked through the packhouse, my mind racing. If the elders were planning something, I had to find out what. I couldn’t wait for them to make their move first. I needed answers. I needed to know who was working against me. And I needed to know now. I turned a corner and nearly ran into Evelyne. She stepped back, raising an eyebrow. "You’re in a hurry." I took a deep breath. "I need to talk to you." She studied me for a moment, then nodded. "Come with me." She led me down a quiet hallway, away from the main part of the packhouse.
